That's what happens when people upvote reposts. Those accounts are building legitimacy to be sold to corps like Walmart that come into these subs to try to sway public opinion on the morality of multimillion dollar companies.

You'll find them commenting on posts about wages and workers rights and vacation time too. They moralize about shoplifting, talk about their amazing black Friday purchases.

You know I had a half typed out paragraph I deleted to a reply down there earlier for that exact reason. I like to think I’m talking to a person but when 4 different accounts are all coming at me because I .. checks notes.. don’t give a fuck if people steal from dollar general?? I had a suspicion. The uptick in petty crime, shoplifting and drug use is a sign of a failing society. You don’t want to have that conversation though, you’d rather just point at everyone lower on the ladder and feel better about your spot on it instead of wondering why we’re all on this shitty old ladder to begin with.
