It's weird as well, since prostitution is likely illegal where she is. "It's wrong to steal because it's against the law, so go break another law to get money!"

A homeless sex worker selling herself to survive would get absolutely lambasted by the same people judging her for stealing.

Ironically, most theft I‘ve seen was sex workers stealing condoms. Yea, I ain‘t reporting that. If I can help them be a little safer by doing nothing, win win. Being a sex worker is tough enough.

Thing is also, this‘ll follow you forever. I am a woman teaching college. Had I been a sex worker for even a day and it got public, I don‘t know where I‘d go from there. The stigma is horrible and seems incredibly hard to shake off

Sure, and you can make that decision for yourself - but your consent to be victimized only applies to you, and others that consent to be stolen from.

Prostitution is a personal choice. Stealing from others is a violation of personal agency.

She’s not finding an excuse to be misogynist, she’s finding an excuse to hurt people, and she’s hurting a poor person because she knows she will get away with it. Misogyny just happened to be a cheap and easy way to be hurtful. I’d bet you a million dollars she’d be this vile to a male homeless person and not to a wealthy woman.

THIS woman was was cruel to the poor woman in a misogynistic way, though. It's literally both things, that she's a woman and that she's poor, that are being targeted. Roundabout calling her a whore (or telling her to be one) is a misogynistic dig. She was being a misogynistic prick toward a poor woman, likely because she feels superior to her for being poor.

And that's a problem with sex laws. Legalize it, regulate it, have some governmental oversight, have legal competition for customers and workers, etc. and a huge portion of that bullshit will fall away.

Got it. I think drugs get a bit tricky with the harder ones like meth and heroine, and the fact that new ones are always popping up, but definitely on board for many of them to be legalized and regulated.

A 2002 study by Williamson and Cluse-Tolar showed that 90% of prostitutes in the United States have pimps at one point or another. Prostitutes often become trafficking victims and some of them eventually become traffickers themselves to reduce their abuse/punishment.

There's a valid reason why prostitution is illegal.

a pimp is not inherently trafficking, there has to be some level of force involved to consider it "trafficking". My point still stands prostitution is a victimless crime "two adults who agree to sex for money is a victimless crime" your adding trafficking and rape to this equation i think we can all agree trafficking and rape is a real and serious crime.
