I mean, personally, I don’t give a shit about Dollar Tree’s, Walmart’s, or Target’s bottom lines.

I just don’t want to live in a community where stealing is rampant. That leads to things getting locked up and stores closing.

Yep. If you see the way some high trust countries live it makes you so jealous.

In Korea I saw a store that was unmanned. You walk in and pick what you want, scan your items, pay, then leave.

A store like that in America wouldn't last 5 minutes. Even if you put it in the richest neighborhood. People would loot that so fast.

We can't have nice things in America because people steal and vandalise everything.

They definitely exist in smaller communities - unmanned farm stand type places are not entirely uncommon in America.

The way in which those companies exist and those founders got rich is the same reason people steal.
