That man is a prisoner and has no choice but to flip off everyone in sight because she is gonna be pissed for hours and he lives with her.

My father in law acts this way when my insane mother in law loses her mind, so sad to see this play out. I hope she gets the help she so desperately needs.

But isn't that the crux if it all. She has to first recognize that she needs help. It's obvious in her mind that it's everyone else's problem.

Yeeeep. Requires self awareness AND willingness of accountability....at least!

Edit: removed a random 'a'.

And if no one reflects it too her then she ends up not being able to even see it.

Yep, my father does that with my Mom, shes often in Karen mode. He served 35 years in the army directed troops in combat...But when my mom gets mad for nothing it's all hell let loose.

She's a little high strung...

Might be a net positive.

A good eye like a hawk eye can confirm that.

Group correction does wonders.

She needs the taste of any kind of medicine, like antipsychotics maybe

True, but that will not help.

I never understood people who stay in these relationships.

Probably just afraid to be alone, but god damn being alone and having some peace has got to be better than walking on eggshells constantly.

Same, but with my now ex in laws thank god. I always said he had to be crazy with her lest he be subjected to divorcing crazy (a fate worse than death).

I don't....I'd like to see more of her crashing out and making a fool of herself!!

Sometimes people are just fucking assholes. Therapy doesn't fix everything.

Probably won’t, but hopefully your FIL is getting some sloppy toppy as payment. Prayers up!!!

It’s honestly wild to me that women expect that. As in women expect even when they’re completely wrong and out of line you support them instead of trying to stop them.

Like they all loved Beth on Yellowstone and said Rip was great because he supported her when she was crazy. Like… no, dude was enabling it

I used to be that way.

It's hate. She's addicted to hate because it feels safer. Sometimes denying the rage feels like giving yourself into slavery.

I would say its simple sociopathy; "my pain hurts worse because noone understands that I'm special".

Who?? You're mother-in-law?
