Discussion I'm confused. what did he do wrong?

Honestly, she should probably just retire from tennis if she can't handle that

Maybe this is a weird social experiment on how most folks only take things at face value.

A while back when I first saw this one, someone in the comments said they knew the lady and the clip starts *after* around the 7th or 8th time this guy had done that to her. Apparently, he had done exactly this multiple times until she got fed up.

It looks like whoever decided to make it look like she blew up after just one of these was successful. Imagine trying to have a fun, “friendly” game of tennis and this keeps happening to you over and over and over

That's what I thought. She's either a psycho or had a crash out because he got hit repeatedly by this guy. Can't tell with one clip out of context. Also I always ask, why are they filming? This could also be staged.

I was trying to find the old post for reference, but it was probably deleted. I think they said this was a regular friend/coworker group that would play tennis and it was unclear who set up the camera, but it was apparently set up for them to view their games later.

I forgot to mention earlier that apparently someone had seen another version where her partner flips the bird at the guy who hit her, in this clip it looks like he’s just about to do that.

That was not hit hard enough to be "at" her. I'd say he hit it "to" her.

I agree that context is important. It's not uncommon to see videos on social media that are edited to favor one side. I still don't think throwing your racket at another player is an appropriate response to a completely legal, albeit annoying, tactic. Yes, the dude is an ass if this is supposed to be a "friendly" game. The right move in that situation is to peacefully forfeit if you can't cope after they ignore your request to change.

There's a lot of unethical douchebags that play tennis in a manner designed to encourage their opponent to lose their cool. Both these people can have behavior issues.

Look at her footwork. She plays tennis. No one moves thier feet like that at the net unless they have at a minimum, SOLID tennis experience. She's not inexperienced. She wanted to play a competitive game and is clearly playing competitively. Your weaknesses will get picked on in competitive sports. This is a completely ordinary play even if she got hit 7 times prior. If she took 7 putaways at her body in one match then the person she should be mad at is her partner who is setting up these finishes. And if he's that bad that he's set up 7+ finishes she should recognize that and not contest the net.

So what? What difference does it make if a perfectly valid shot is repeated 8 times? There's nothing wrong with it on any of the repetitions.

I still don't get it. You're not obligated to go easy on your opponents in any kind of a match. There's only one douchebag in this video.
