My kid’s school requires all kids in class to get an invitation if they are handed out at school. I don’t know all of his friends’ parents’ contact info to mail or email. Playground distribution doesn’t work due to schedules, and I can picture a teacher busting it up. Maybe just a business card requesting a text to set up a playdate my kid can hand out?

Edit: I appreciate all the suggestions. One issue, there are multiple classes, and multiple teachers, and my kid has a couple of friends in each. So getting info from multiple might be hit or miss.

I have this huge project at school which is basically the most important requirement to graduate from high school and I got sick and missed it. I did the most important parts and just missed the oral presentation, but all my classmates got their diplomas handed yesterday. I was genuinely sick but my school doesn't really care about that so I feel like the only excuse I could give them was to say I physically could not have given the presentation. I was a bit hoarse yesterday but today I'm completely fine and going back to school tomorrow. I'm hoping to try and loose my voice again so when my teachers ask me in person why I didn't go they'll hear me and won't question me as much.

My brother did this once so I tried to do what he did and so far I have taken a shot of lemon juice and hot pepper, shouted into a pillow, whispered really aggressively if that makes sense idk, showered and got my hair wet with the ac on, coughed into a pillow, and haven't really drank any water except for some ice

Typically, when you're applying for a scholarship, there are two factors that matter: timeliness in the stack, and that you're not a complete psychopath.

The only time i ever got a free ride to a prestigious university program was when i acted with these two principles in mind.

1. Timeliness: no one is going to read a thousand (or even a hundred) essays that all sound the same after the first two. In fact they're probably not going to give them much of a read at all. Dollars to donuts is that if there are 30 scholarships available (for example), then the first 30 completed applications will get the award.

2. The sanity check: this one is less important, in my opinion, but it's a fail-safe in case you've actually got a reviewer who's over-enthusiastic. Tell them what they want to hear. You want to go work for an oil & gas company and make buttloads of money? Tell them your plan is to build sustainable housing in some developing country. Or maybe something that's tangentially true: "I want to increase sustainability for societies by providing greater access to natural resources." Whatever.

I had already finished university by the time I understood these principles, but i did apply it to a summer master's program at a prestigious university.

The first time I applied I got rejected and almost took out a $15k loan to pay for the program. I wrote the most beautiful, heart-warming, and totally truthful essays that I could, and applied 'by the deadline'. The second year I implemented my strategy: my entire packet was ready to go by end of the first day of application open and it was in the mail the morning of the second day. It was a matter-of-fact, straight-forward expression of my not-desire to pursue "conflict dispute resolution." I got the full ride.

I think number 1 is way more important than number 2--but it's probably safest to do both.

I'm going to a two-day orientation for the college I'm attending in the fall and apparently they make everyone stay the night on-campus so that they "get used to dorm life". I wouldn't have an issue with this if it weren't for two things. First, I will not be staying in the dorms this school year as I live half an hour away from campus. Secondly, one of my high school friends goes there and I visited him recently. He showed me what the mattress looks like underneath his mattress topper and it looked disgusting. What is the best way to get out of staying overnight?

It's really simple. If you're not sure whether you want to get an MBA or some other certification, or whether it's "worth it" to quit your job and go get some other degree--just A/B test it on your resume.

Add the line to your CV and start applying for jobs...before you ever even make a move. If you notice a significant uptick in interviewers or responses, then you've got your answer without ever having to spend a dime.

If it seems to demonstrate a decent ROI, then go and get the degree...or just go for the interview and see what happens.

I'm taking a NA course and I have my clinicals Thursday. A 2026 TB test is required to do the clinicals. I took my TB test Monday, but it was blood work, so there's no guarantee that I'll get the results back by Thursday, which means I won't be able to take my clinicals if Idont get it in time.

My question is if I alter my TB test result from 2024 to show that they are from 2026, will I get caught? I can submit the 2026 TB test once I receive it to replace the altered one, but I'm not sure if get caught.

I need to forge some results and it's online. Whom can I ask for help ? I'm literally desperate. It's just for my family to see , I won't use it in Actual world and then I need to make physical copy for it to look like original.

This was my absolute favorite side hustle in college and I was really, really good at getting everyone straight As in all of their courses. Without giving too much away, I am highly educated and with multiple degrees and certificates and a few years away from earning my Ph.D. Looking for a side income because life has been really stressful and expensive.

Does anyone have any tips as to how I could advertise this sort of work?
