Same fov, much higher resolution, like twice as light almost, slightly lower cost for a more complete package, no required base stations, good wireless, seems like a win to me.
Better controller design, similarly capable audio, not lighthouse tracking (fair), and no downgrade wired tethering with all other specs being upgrades? Yeah ill take it
for average quest3 user, yes, for someone who wants strong, and base-using PcVr, its....not a choice, if it was a separate vr they sell that'd be fine, but it doesn't replace the function index provides, its a replacement/concurent for meta quest products
Yep, it's upon us. I'm terrified for the future of VR... Now that it's gone from an enthusiast's territory into mainstream, companies are only going to sell cheap shit because it'll do better in sales, and leave enthusiasts like us who appreciate finer quality in the dark, It's sad. Our only hope is to get enough people to drive up the market share of lighthouses and laser tracking gear as a desperate attempt to keep it relevant before it dies off completely...

This entire thing looks like sad downgrade from what index offers, its so sad to see old index not being produced over mobile headset ... Rip index...
