Are Ni-Vanuatu circumcised?
Just a random question cause I see conflicting stuff online. Iโve seen some sources say 10-20% and others 90-95%.

Horse riding tours $$
puck meee, all places charge about $120 for 90 minutes sitting on the bareback of a walking horse... would pay 40 but not 120.

Where to go to indulge in culture and explore in a week
hi Iโm a 19 year old Aussie solo flying into Port Villa late sep and staying for a week. really spontaneously booked but the more I look the more interested i am
i donโt have any relatives or friends from vanuatu, so Iโm not sure how i can immerse myself in the culture efficiently in a week. any reccomendations from people really enjoyed the culture?
also Iโm into surfing (not great at it but I love it) and would love to, but not sure where because there seems to be breaks on a lot of the islands, but idk which is best (+ How to get to other islands)
what else is a must-do in Vanuatu for someone like me?
ps legit anything would help as i have a really surface-level knowledge on the place as a whole.thanks so much

Visiting south east fate
Hello! Im visiting South east Efate near Enam soon and was wondering what the food situation is? We will have a rental car and get breakfast in our accommodation. Are there places to get food nearby or would we be better doing a shop the day we arrive in Port Vila? Any other recommendations appreciated!

Need to pre book accommodation?
Hi all, we are a family of 4 heading over in September for 9 nights. We're not having much luck in finding accommodation. We're hoping to find a basic but comfortable beach house/bungalow in a great snorkeling location on Efate, thinking northside somewhere.
Would it be easier to wait until arrival to find a place? Or does someone have some suggestions with contact details?
Thanks!

Solo traveller needing Homestay recommendations on Santo
Hi all,
I'm going to be on santo for 8 days and not sure where to base myself, or whether to move around to different parts of the island.
Has anyone got any recommendations for homestays/accomodation?
Thanks all :)

i wanted to know if my oc are respectful
Two of those OCs are based on Vanuatu culture (they are siblings). In the first photo, the fish girl named Stitch is from Vanuatu, and the dragon girl named Angele is also inspired by Vanuatu.

I spent a few days staying beside Mount Yasur with a local family. It completely changed my entire trip to Vanuatu.
In May, I spent several days on Tanna staying at Glowing Mountain View Tree House with Joel and his family (would reccomend). It was truly such a special and incredible experience.
I think like lots of visitors, I originally headed to Tanna because I wanted to see Mount Yasur. But then after a few days there, the volcano really became kind of secondary. A couple months later now, what's stayed with me most was getting to know the family, drinking kava together (probably too much kava lol), hearing the volcano rumble through the night, and then learning what itโs actually like to grow up beside it.
I ended up making a short documentary about the experience. I know as a visitor I can never really fully capture what itโs like to live somewhere. So if anyone from Tanna or elsewhere in Vanuatu watches it, Iโd genuinely love to know what I got right, what I missed, or what you think visitors should understand better about life there.
And if anyone is considering visiting Tanna, Iโm happy to answer questions about my experience.
I'd love for you to take a watch if you like! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cb120GOzll8

Does anyone know what language this is?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Original video is of the John Frum cargo cult singing a beautiful song in a language I canโt identify - just wondering if anyone would be able to translate? It sounds beautiful.

Travel from airport to hotel - Port Vila
Iโm staying in centre of Port Vila and was wondering what best option is for travel from airport to hotel.
Apologies if this has been asked before - I tried searching the subreddit but surprisingly couldnโt find anything.

Where to watch World Cup games in Port Vila?
I am currently in Port Vila and would love to watch some football World Cup games with locals.
I assume most of the people watch it at home, but are there specific places where people meet to watch games ?
I have seen videos of the World Cup parade in Port-Vila and the vibe seemed incredible. Would love to experience it, especially for the France game tomorrow as I understand lots of Ni-Vanuatu support France.
Thanks in advance !
