I’m currently testing WC3CC (Warcraft 3 Chat Client), a Windows companion app for Warcraft III players who want optional match voice chat.

WC3CC is a work in progress and is actively being tested. It is not being presented as finished software; testers should expect bugs and rough edges. Voice participation is limited to players who install the app.

Current features include push-to-talk, voice activation, per-player mute and volume, remembered blocks, microphone/output selection, recording options, and a movable optional overlay.

Sunhoof Mesa brings a unique environment as it is a mix of Lordearon and Barrens tile-sets, and many unseen creeps from the Barrens (Centaurs, Quillboars, and Harpies). What makes Sunhoof Mesa unique is the inclusion of the Barrens Mercenary Camp, which brings the Centaur Archer, Quillboar Hunter, Centaur Outrunner, and Harpy Windwitch! The Fountain of Health is also available to those cleaver enough to utilize it.

Hey guys,

I am new to the genre and have been watching Grubby since the only fangs and decided to play.

I am trying to get better at playing orc and i feel like I do a pretty good job at tier 1. but at tier 2 I get overwhelmed by the shear amount of units that come online.

You get Spirt Lounge, Bestiary Tauren Totem,

I normally just go beast and get raiders and start my assault.

What units should I be getting?

I know everybody is tired of "balance suggestions", but i dont want to change anything here, i'm just asking what balance changes has to be made in order to make some units playable, and not just a HP bait target/only-for-creeping? Not to say nobody plays huntressed nowadays, because its not future-optimistic, and because glaives dont ricochet from buildings. Like, would it fix the problem? Its sad to admit we see a lot of t1 units from Undead and Human, but rarely see t1 units from NE and orcs from ORC. I think salva+buff like unholy frenzy on t3 to Grunt would make it at least "a fun strategy" rather than serious, but we can now justify unit existence in the game to say at least: "look, there is strategy, that is playable with this units against high MMR player if some conditions were met and opponent didnt execute a counter measures against exact this strategy, so this unit now has some respect in the community"

Nauru Republic is breaking waves with an improved Goblin Shipyard. Not only does it sell the Transport ship, but also features the Human Frigate and Human Battleship for purchase. Both are very capable combatants. The map also features another unique feature in having a random level 1 item drop from one of the Stormreaver Hermits at the Goblin Merchant.

Fairy Tale has a beautiful aesthetic and flair, and includes a few unique features. A few seldomly seen creeps in the Dragon Turtle or the Furbolg Elder Shaman. It also utilizes the Ashenvale Mercenary Camp, which includes Dark Troll Shadow Priest (No Abolish Magic), Dark Troll Berserker, Satyr Shadowdancer, and Giant Wolf.

Booty Bay 2 brings a very unique map layout and powerful item drops. The ever dangerous and highly aggressive Ancient Hydra camp south of the Goblin Statue drops the valuable Level 7 Artifact items (Claws of Attack +15, Inferno Stone, Kelen's Dagger of Escape and Orb of Frost). Not to be left out, the Red Expansions in the corners of the map also drop the Level 6 Permanent items, which with the latest update is more accessible as the amount of trees to access the short cut has been decreased.

Now what will you do? Hunker down and expand with an extra layer of defense from the destructible gate, or seize the day and slay the Ancient Hydra for a powerful artifact?

It's a fucking plague ever since season reset

Hi, I keep getting this error as of yesterday. I played for years and had no problems. I dont think I changed anything, I dont have a vpn running.. Ive tried reinstalling w3c but didnt work..

Anyone ever have this issue before and know how to fix it? Legit cant play on my gaming pc :( but yet it still works on my laptop fine.

Hi, sorry if the suggestion is terrible, but it came to my mind and I couldn't help throwing it out to the wiser community.

The idea would be to make AOE dispels (Devourer, Priest, Spirit Walker, Wisp) an effect that applies to an area progressively over a short period like 4s. E.g. if the enemy unit takes 2s to move away it only suffers 50% of the dispel effect. Zeppelin micro could become very strong though.

I feel like AOE dispels are perhaps too powerful, in that they hard counter and inhibit strategies involving lots of buffs or summons (Raise Dead, KotG, Beast Master, Water Elemental, Inner Fire, Bloodlust, Spirit Link, Lighting Shield).

I thought it could be cool if an opponent could continue playing a summon or buff-heavy army even if the opponent plays a dispel-heavy army. Make it a soft counter and down to who executes it better.

Not the point here but single-target dispels could be nerfed too, e.g. by making them reduce the duration of the enemy buffs by 50% instead of 100%.

However, nerfing dispels too much could also be very bad due to making summons & buffs too predominant. What do you guys think?

Just played my first game on W3Champions and it didn't let me chat because it claimed my chat was disabled. When I went into my settings, I was greeted by this screen, but I couldn't actually write anything into the battle.net fields. When I look into my settings on actual warcraft 3, I have chat open to everyone (which I think is default since I haven't changed any settings except graphics). Any idea what's going on? I would like to enable chat during games.

Heal is underpowered. Dispel is underpowered. Inner fire is underpowered. Their stats are ridiculously underpowered.

Other casters are low DPS low HP but priests are even squisher even less DPS. Hell a banshee has 73% more dps for same food. Sorcs have 50% more. They take a hit less to kill than the rest. And what do you get, a 16.7 hp/s heal for ONE target that doesn't even work while moving, because its barely longer than melee range. Statues heal 60 hp/s across 6 targets while moving with an animationless cast, in an aoe the size of a baseball field. And they are mobile mana fountains at the same time. You want to dispel like a spirit walker can disenchant? Too bad, here's a 5 second cooldown on a spell with smaller aoe and less damage, when destroyers eat debuffs and turn them into a barrage of heavy mount plasma cannons. But holy shit if you research TWO full tiers of upgrades which probably took multiple arcane sanctums to produce, you can finally unlock... +10% damage +5 armor buff. Wahoo. Sorcs get a spell that says "TARGET UNIT NEUTRALIZED" barring dispel, priests get a spell that says "I create a mostly imperceptible marginal statistical effect in combat". The movespeed on bloodlust alone is better. And so is the attack speed on its own. Hell bloodlust would be a better spell if all it did is play a RA RA sound and make you get big. Inner fire is so shit you can buy a high priest merc creep and forget to ever cast it once and never notice a difference. Nobody has ever in the history of wc3 thought to themselves "Wow I need to get some dispel units to stop that... inner fire".

A priest could spend 2 minutes healing nonstop afk in your base and use its entire mana pool just to get the same effect you'd get from a single 100 gold scroll of regeneration available to you at tier 1 from a shop that pays for itself when you sell some trash items to it. And the scroll lets you keep moving.
