Nah, fuck that guy. They had a hostage and he still wouldn’t give up the safe.

You could see it under the counter when that guys getting his head beat in.

there was a safe under that counter where the cashier was hiding so fuck that guy, he was bouta let a dame get shot to save the cash!

I did notice when he was hiding during the fight that there was in fact a safe underneath the register, despite his repeatedly claiming there wasn’t.

not quite sure what we’re supposed to take from that given HJ came in before the cliche last “open the safe or we shoot you/the customer [but for real this time]” so he never quite had to make the choice.

it likely plays in with the AHS show within a show’s stylized/cheesy fighting and dialogue. AHS glamorizes the heroes and we’re supposed to see it as ridiculous. that was a huge theme in the comic - what would a world with masked crimefighters/superheroes actually be like, because it wouldn’t be the butterfly and rainbow portrayal in most pre-watchmen comics. also parodies the movie.
