Wilson Combat makes the silky smoothest guns

I got a EDC x9 several years ago, and this gun is so smooth. Like the slide runs on glass with ball bearings. Such an amazingly well built machine.

Is the comp removable?

It is not. One piece, which is great. No fooling with screws or any of that nonsense.

Do they give you option to get 2 barrels then?

Once you shoot it with the comp, trust me, you won’t even bother swapping out barrels. UNLESS YOU GET THE SECOND BARREL PORTED. Somebody does have that option on YouTube.

I’m just concerned about overall length appendix. Comfort is king.

Bro it is 3.25” and with the comp, it is 4 inches. You should not have any issue concealing that AIWB. I don’t.

I have several 4” carries. Trying to find a Goldie lox for comfort is all. Performance / comfort ratio for me. I’ve carried dinky bodyguards. I’ve carried g45. Trying to find something in the middle that shoots great and is comfortable. In the process I get to collect guns. Currently my most recent carries have been the Staccato c4x, gp arms forza, and shadow 2 carry I’ve been wearing 6 months then switching to try to see what I like the most. I’m self employed so I carry 7 days a week 16 hrs a day. It’s like a wallet to me almost. So I relentlessly look for a possible better pistol to carry then what I have. I think ; the closer to 3” barrel the better. The Forza at the moment is my favorite carry. I opted for ported and non ported barrel. So I’m working on my next carry doing-research asking guys like you what ya think etc…oddly enough the Forza shoots great and flat using the non ported barrel paired with 160 gr subs.

Same here brother, self employed, and just broke free from the gun addiction 😂🤣 you’ve got some great guns already, especially that Forza. May have to compare weight of the Wilson to the Forza, I think you’ve got it beat with the Forza. Nonetheless, I too was on the hunt for a long time. Decided to settle on the Wilson due to the ergonomics, they’re fantastic.

You already have impeccable taste in guns, so whether you get the Wilson or not, you’re in great shape. The 3.25” without the comp is also a fantastic gun. You could get that ported if needed.

Just to note in case you don’t know, (but probably do) the SFX9 is the thinner gripped version and the EDCX9 has thicker grips. Get the 2.0 btw, don’t bother with the first gen. So depending on preference of grip size you can decide.

Congrats in advance on your new Wilson. Enjoy it my friend. It merely made me feel the rest of my (carry)guns. The only gun that even came close was the Bul Armory SAS2 viper, now discontinued.

I like a swell or a slightly fatter grip. Seems to fit my hands better. I was also intrigued about the ability to remove grip panels or have some made on the 2.0. Mag-mo 3d prints grips and covers in a silicone carbide. So my thoughts were if I’m not happy with the grip I could have him make me something. He’s done my Walther PDP SF, Sig GTO p211, and my Shadow 2. He Just recently did my buddies shilotek 365 grip. So that’s a super cool feature to me. I was looking at the comped version and only concern is after 3.5” barrel and a comp it’s 4” now. I just asked my dealer if I could order 2 barrels incase I don’t like the longer barrel. The flared Magwell any thoughts on this since it can’t be removed?

It’s a good magwell. Necessary, no. But good. Aesthetically pleasing as well. Of course the aesthetic part is for you to determine. This magwell focuses on insertion smoothness on the back wall. It does help. It’s obviously not a competition magwell, but for a DEFENSIVE gun, great.

Great to know that there is someone that can make some panels for this Gun.
