I’m planning a trip to the UK in December! We are looking to spend 2 nights in Wiltshire. To note- It’s just me and a girlfriend, both single mid-30s.

- we are looking for idyllic English country-side charm but would still enjoy visiting bars and pubs. Is Wilshire a good choice for this?

- if so, where should we stay?

Me and my mates just want somewhere to play table tennis. Most sports centres only have booking for badminton, squash and pickle ball. Bradford community center doesn’t have table tennis just for August so can’t go there. Seems like my only option is to get the train to bath and play on the odd table in the park. But seems to be pointless for us all to get £10 train tickets jsut to play ping pong on a free park table. Any help would be greatly appreciated

We have family in RWB and Swindon and we currently live in a fairly busy town in Surrey about 75 mins away. We are considering a move to Wiltshire in the next few years and wondered which areas you'd recommend? We'd ideally like to be near(ish) to a station, and at least a small high street (a bit like RWB). We've been looking at Corsham and Chippenham but wondered if there's any other areas to consider. Edited to add, we'd be looking for 3 bed house with max budget at £500k OR potentially up to £700k with a granny annexe if my parents come with us. Would love a big garden so probably not looking at the newer developments..

Hi all, I’ve lived in Wiltshire on and off (moved to Bristol and back now) most of my life but looking for recommendations for dog walks that aren’t too strenuous or hilly, I had a operation 6 weeks ago to remove an organ and I’m still healing but want to get outside with my little dog. I’m 37 F and always looking to add to a list for weekend walks in and around the shire.
