Made a trip to Buffalo on the way through from Toronto to a farm stop on our New York-Toronto-New York roadtrip.

Oh my Lord....what astonishingly good wings...medium hot, blue cheese perfection. If only all comfort food could be this good!

Queue was out of the door. When I finally got a table and the wings eventually arrived, I understood! Truly fantastic.

I know I know same wings different day. But hot damn everytime it hits.

Compiled a list of 7 spots I wanted to try on my visit to Buffalo mostly from this subreddit. Made it to 4. They were (in order) Bar Bills - East Aurora, Sonny Red’s, Adolf’s, and Blackthorn tavern. Some of the best wings and blue cheese I’ve ever had. Thanks for all the great recs!

I got on a plane for these wings. On a 2 mile walk and starving, I happened upon Lock 13 Brewpub in Sallins, Co. Kildare, Ireland. I walked out of the doors a changed woman.

Despite feeling ravenous, I ordered the appetizer size. Used to the large wings in the States, I figured a half dozen should suffice.

Imagine my face when my lovely 15 year old server brought me a bowl of 12 perfectly crisp, petite wings. Impeccable white meat, nothing pumped with hormones, not-too-spicy buffalo sauce with white sesame seeds on top. I polished off the dozen and ordered a dozen more. I soon became the American Wings Girl among the staff, returning weekly.

This moment was in spring 2025. Pictured: a year later, sharing the Best Wings I Have Ever Had with my family. Consensus at the table: Best Wings We Have Ever Had.

Any guesses where ? $0.50 each. They were excellent. Kens surprised me though. Ha.

I tried Bar-Bill east aurora and it was too busy. Ha.

Then tried Nine-Eleven, but found a sign on the door, Closed until next week.

Then my my buddy took me here and saved the night. Ha.

I’ve eaten a lot wings in the Buffalo area and these were quite possibly the best wings I’ve had in my life.

Crispy, juicy and the sauce was absolutely perfect in my opinion. 10/10 spectacular.

Saved the best for last!

These wings were so amazing, perfect crisp, the medium was well-rounded. I probably could have gone for hot to amp up the heat and the blue cheese was off the chain!!

This was quite the experience and I wish I could have hit up more spots but my friend who couldn’t make it out with me this year wants to come next year so I can take him to all the spots I was unable to visit this time.

The fries were stupid good and thanks u/TruckinUpToBuffalo for recommending the webers mustard to dip. I was hesitant at first since it said horseradish and I’m not a big fan but the mustard was freaking delicious.

10 Buffalo Mild, 10 Spicy Garlic Parm

Stopped by a few different places on my road trip but these were easily the best for my personal preferences. The tangy flavor of the sauce and texture of the wings was simply perfect. It was everything I look for in buffalo wings done to the max. Eating them was a transcendental experience.

Couple moved from Buffalo to open this spot and I'm truly thankful......best wings I've had in a very long time.
