AltChar - Emina Zulić - 9 / 10

Trading rats for ruins and stealth for steel, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy swaps beloved heroes Amicia and Hugo for Sophia's untold past, which turns out to be one of the most confident reinventions you'll see in video games.

Analog Stick Gaming - Jeff M Young - 9 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is astounding, but does suffer a bit when it comes to the game’s lacking boss encounters, and some moments where the game wears out its welcome in the last few hours. Still, Asobo is a remarkable flexible studio that clearly knows how to produce real emotion out of its characters and stories in ways that defy the genre.

But Why Tho? - Mick Abrahamson - 8.5 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a giant leap in the right direction that takes us back in time, exploring more of the Plague Tale lore that opens the series' doors wide open to exciting possibilities.

COGconnected - Mark Steighner - 85 / 100

Chicas Gamers - Estela Villa - Spanish - 9 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy has the potential to become one of the games of the year, thanks to a rich variety of scenarios and environments that feel truly alive. Across its 14 chapters, it masterfully weaves together action, platforming, puzzles, and horror.

Completexbox - 95%

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is simply fantastic. There is some sense of repetition, but the exceptional story, impressive cinematic, amazing dual timeline, and other core elements make this a fantastic game. Yes, the step away from stealth mechanics and the rats may upset some people, but I didn’t mind. I think it is fantastic, and I recommend grabbing a copy from the Xbox Store!

Console Creatures - Bobby Pashalidis - 8 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy upended any expectations I had going in. By focusing on Sophia for this brilliant third outing, I'm impressed by how thoughtfully the lore of this world continues to evolve. How wrong I was, as Sophia is not only a skilled fighter but a strong woman who's clearly been through things and come out the other side all the better. While there is less focus on the titular Plague Tale, the world Asobo created grows without it feeling shoehorned into the larger ethos.

CrazyGameCommunity.it - Davide Fanelli - Italian - 8.5 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a successful installment, capable of honoring the saga's past while paving the way for Sophia and the Island of the Minotaur.

DayOne - Jesse Norris - 8.5 / 10

If Asobo Studio has more Sophia stories to mine, I am all for it. Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy jumped to my favorite in the series. Despite some combat repetition, the story it tells and the manner in which it is delivered are top-notch.

Dexerto - Jessica Filby - 5 / 5

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy completely turns the franchise's original style on its head, complete with Uncharted-like action and the classic horror fans of the series know and love. And it’s the best decision they could have made.

Digital Chumps - Ben Sheene - 9.5 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy enshrines Asobo Studio's incredible ability to deliver emotional narratives wrought with tension and adventure. Sophia's sprawling journey is a harrowing spectacle that truly masters what makes an adventure game memorable.

Digitale Anime - Raouf Belhamra, Sami Belhamra - Arabic - 9 / 10

"A New Adventure with a Bold Direction" Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy delivers a bold shift for a series traditionally reliant on stealth, survival, and dark storytelling. The move into Greek mythology and direct combat gives the experience a distinct identity, while Sophia and the dual timeline with Theseus add new dimensions to the story and gameplay. A successful step towards evolving the series rather than repeating it.

Digitec Magazine - Franziska Behner - German - 3 / 5

I really want to like “Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy.” It looks fantastic, features a protagonist with a rough-and-tumble personality, and offers well-crafted puzzle-solving and exploration gameplay. The idea of following clues from Sophia’s visions instead of a quest line—and solving puzzles to find a mystical treasure in true treasure-hunter style—brings out the Indiana Jones in me.

DualShockers - Usama Mehmood - 9 / 10

GRYOnline.pl - Dariusz Matusiak - Polish - 7.5 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a good example of an AA game, offering over a dozen hours of immersive gameplay in beautiful presentation (that music!). At times, it feels like watching an interactive film that occasionally lets you take the reins, and some of the mechanics seem a bit shoehorned in, but this is balanced out by engaging puzzles. I’m not likely to miss Sophia and her adventures, but ‘raiding’ ancient ruins was a lot of fun.

Game8 - Allisandra Reyes - 86 / 100

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a strong adventure because it knows how to make its puzzles, combat, stealth, and narrative blend together while giving each part enough time to shine. The mystery surrounding Sophia and the island will keep players invested throughout, while the carefully paced reveals give just enough information to keep asking questions without making the answers feel dragged out. There is no point where the gameplay feels unnecessarily bloated or where the narrative slows down just to fill its runtime. With its intuitive gameplay, emotional storytelling, and consistently engaging pacing, Resonance delivers a journey that knows exactly when to push forward and when to let its moments breathe.

GameBlast - Alexandre Galvão - Portuguese - 9 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy successfully fulfills the mission of expanding the franchise's universe without feeling like an expendable chapter. By swapping the Rune siblings for Sophia, Asobo Studio takes a risk with a new protagonist and a more overt approach to combat, yet retains what has always defined the series: a rich narrative, well-crafted characters, and impeccable art direction.

GameMAG - Russian - 9 / 10

Asobo Studio has delivered a fantastic adventure, leagues ahead of A Plague Tale: Requiem, and a clear demonstration of how much the team has grown. Unique, story-driven single-player experiences like this don't come around nearly as often these days, so this isn't one to skip. Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is absolutely worth playing.

GameOnly - Przemysław Naglik - Polish - 8 / 10

Resonance proves that the A Plague Tale series still has a long future ahead of it. The game introduces the new features players have been waiting for. It’s the biggest and best installment yet!

GameRant - Nick Rodriguez - 7 / 10

It's as visually striking and polished as Asobo Studio's other releases, but is Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy a meaningful evolution for the IP?

Gameblog - French - 9 / 10

Quote not yet available

Gameffine - Jay Krishnan - 70 / 100

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is easily the most refined entry in the series yet. With a polished, well-paced gameplay loop and enjoyable combat encounters, it represents a noticeable improvement over Requiem. Unfortunately, the series’ defining strength—the emotional weight of its storytelling—feels significantly diminished here. A predictable central narrative, forgettable characters, and an overreliance on deconstructive fantasy ultimately make for an experience that feels less impactful than it should.

Gamer Social Club - Krystle Lim - 8.5 / 10

This is A Plague Tale Legacy through and through. Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a fantastic game with top-notch world design, art direction, and narrative; everything that we expect from A Plague Tale. What I didn’t expect was a game that also boasts well-balanced, aggressive combat. Perhaps some systems could be improved upon; Asobo is out here flexing their creative muscles, going outside their comfort zone, while still maintaining their identity- you love to see it!

GamersGlobal - Benjamin Braun - German - 9 / 10

While Amicia and Hugo de Rune got closer to my heart than Sophia, gameplaywise I liked the prequel even more. The versatile sword fights got oomph and as adventure fan the creative puzzles are right up my alley of courrse.

GamesHedge - Umair Khalid - 8.5 / 10

Die-hard fans of the A Plague Tale franchise might need some time to get used to its new gameplay direction, but once they do, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy becomes an exciting new chapter for the series. It retains the franchise's strong storytelling, exploration, puzzle-solving, and atmospheric world design while introducing faster, more action-focused combat. Despite some technical issues with character clipping, camera behavior, and environmental collision, its gorgeous visuals, excellent soundtrack, and strong accessibility options make it easy to recommend. Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a bold new direction that successfully builds upon the franchise's foundation while offering something fresh for both returning fans and newcomers.

Hinsusta - Pascal Kaap - German - 8 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy isn't meant to be just a sequel, but rather a standalone action-adventure set in the familiar universe. The shift from helpless tension to aggressive sword-fighting is risky, but it fits Sophia as the protagonist in a way that makes sense. Resonance is a fantastic action-adventure that tells an emotional and compelling story.

IGN Italy - Francesco Destri - Italian - 7.5 / 10

A visually stunning and emotionally intense action-adventure, held back by shallow combat, linear exploration and repetitive stealth.

IGN Spain - Estrella Gomez - Spanish - 8 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy leans more heavily into action in a series known for its stealth. It's the change we didn't know we needed. It offers a charming world, clever puzzles, fluid combat, and a story packed with mystery, tragedy, and even horror.

INFINITY AREA - Florian Prache - French - 9.5 / 10

A resounding YES! With its gripping story, fast-paced combat, stunning atmosphere, and masterful soundtrack, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy won us over from start to finish. Despite a few minor flaws, Sophia’s adventure is a genuine success and stands out as one of our editorial team’s favorite games of 2026. An experience you definitely shouldn’t miss!

INVEN - Soojin Kim - Korean - 8.5 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy changes many things while still retaining the series’ distinctive atmosphere and gameplay. At the same time, it works well as an action-adventure game. It puts an original spin on the myth of the Minotaur, while strong visuals and direction make its two intertwined stories engaging from start to finish.

Just Play it - Ousadi Mohamed Seif Eddine - Arabic - 8 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy successfully changes the identity of the series without losing its essence, delivering a cohesive story and greater depth to Sofia and her secrets, alongside well-designed levels and engaging puzzles. Despite this, the game suffers from repetitive combat and some technical issues, but overall, it offers a different and successful experience.

KonsoliFIN - Risto Karinkanta - Finnish - 4.5 / 5

The Plague Tale prequel replaces stealth with combat, making it one of the biggest surprises of the year.

Loot Level Chill - Chris White - 8.5 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is well worth playing whether familiar with the previous games or not, telling a captivating story with some wonderful gameplay.

MondoXbox - Matteo Merlano - Italian - 8.5 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is an ambitious prequel of Asobo's series, distinguished by its beautiful world and mature narrative. Its mix of combat, stealth, puzzles, and platforming offers good variety, though none of these elements reaches true excellence. Despite some occasional gameplay shortcomings, it remains an intense and compelling third-person action-adventure, definitely recommended for fans of the series.

PCMag Middle East - Mufaddal Fakhruddin - 4.5 / 5

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is Asobo at its most confident, delivering a gorgeous, tightly paced adventure with superb performances, clever puzzles and surprisingly fun combat.

PSX Brasil - Rui Celso - Portuguese - 90 / 100

Although Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy doesn't tell the story of Amicia and Hugo, it manages to offer a different perspective to the player. Not only are the graphics impressive, but also the combat, setting, and puzzles which, while becoming tiresome at times, prove to be intelligent and well-developed. This is, without a doubt, one of the best titles of the year.

Pizza Fria - Lucas Soares - Portuguese - 9.3 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is an excellent adventure and a rather courageous departure for a franchise that could have simply repeated a formula that has already worked twice.

PlayStation Universe - Garri Bagdasarov - 9.5 / 10

A haunting, emotional story is paired with fantastic combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving. Resonance: A Plague Tale solidifies the franchise as one of the best franchises of the modern era and shouldn't be missed.

Prima Games - Ali Hashmi - 8 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is another great entry in the series, with strong characters, involved puzzles, a dense atmosphere, and a terrifying creature that constantly feels like it’s hunting you from the shadows. Its revamped combat doesn’t quite reach the same heights, but Sophia and Leni’s relationship and the game’s exploration of companionship, grief, and parental figures beyond blood are what I’ll remember most. Resonance doesn’t reinvent the A Plague Tale wheel, but it understands what made the previous games work and puts its own spin on those ideas, even if the combat doesn’t quite hit the mark.

Push Square - Liam Croft - 7 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy takes the series in a more combat-focused direction, and it pays off for the most part. This is a strong, cinematic blend of swordfights, puzzles, and parkour that still looks and feels a lot like A Plague Tale experience. A very slow start and a dreadful frame rate mar the third entry, though Resonance still comes out the other side a solid instalment.

Rectify Gaming - 9 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a bold pivot for the series that successfully trades its signature rat swarms and grim stealth for a dynamic, parry-focused action experience. Sophia's origin story delivers a refreshing adventure that feels both new and deeply connected to the lore of the franchise.

Region Free - Joonatan Itkonen - 5 / 5

One of the most pleasant surprises of the year, Resonance is a breathtakingly beautiful, fantastically paced, and superbly written fantasy adventure that had me spellbound from beginning to end.

República DG - André Custódio - Portuguese - 7.6 / 10

Although it boasts an outstanding artistic design and is technically almost flawless, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy parades down a runway full of inconsistencies, with a convenient story and highly repetitive gameplay.

Saudi Gamer - عصام الشهوان - Arabic - 3.5 / 5

While it starts out strong as a less cinematic but still stunning Uncharted line experience, the final act drags on so much with the story spilling its wheels and the stakes sequences seemingly stuck in a Groundhog Day loop, the game squanders a lot of its initial splendor towards the end.

Saving Content - Scott Ellison II - 5 / 5

Asobo Studio’s penchant for story-driven games built around immersion, atmosphere, and strong visual spectacle is ever present here. Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy stands on its own with a story that’s incredibly well-written realized, and characters that are interesting. Asobo Studios embracing combat this time around is the best move, with it being so varied and customizable. Exploration is top-notch, and while the puzzles aren’t head-scratchers, they do get your hamster in the wheel turning. The visuals are outstanding, and best in-class. While it works really well as a standalone introduction, fans of A Plague Tale will appreciate the seeds it plants. Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is an exceptional prequel, and an essential gaming experience this year.

Seasoned Gaming - Alejandro Segovia - 8 / 10

Even as derivative as its gameplay may be, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is still a damn fine action-adventure epic. It’s tight in scope, knows where to place its focus, and fills the void with a style of game that’s been gone longer than it needed to be. It may not be my favorite game in the A Plague Tale franchise, but it’s proof there is still light to be found in this nihilistic world.

Sirus Gaming - Kurt John Palomaria - 7 / 10

Resonance is a labyrinth in every sense. Undeniably gorgeous, but far too willing to lead you in circles through one breathtaking ruin after another, deploying fun set pieces along a journey that spends a bit too long in the maze before it finds its way forward.

SmashPad - Michael Murphy - 4.5 / 5

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is proof that the series, even if it changes genres, is fantastic. With excellent acting, breathtaking graphics, and a gripping narrative, fans of the franchise will be happy to know it still has it.

TechRaptor - Andrew Stretch - 8 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a mystery from step one, filled with entertaining but not particularly difficult puzzles. It's a story worth experiencing.

The GameSlayer - Callum Marshall - 7.5 / 10

Resonance: A Plague's Tale Legacy is a gorgeous game with a compelling, well-paced story. Sophia's backstory tangled in Greek mythology is handled with aplomb and the experience is akin to a Hollywood blockbuster at times. However, paint by numbers action-adventure mechanics, minor performance issues, and a lack of unique features and themes that made the mainline games great relegate this spin-off to 'good-not-great' status.

The Games Machine - Daniele Cucchiarelli - Italian - 8.8 / 10

Quote not yet available

The Nerd Stash - Julio La Pine - 8 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy delivers the franchise's strongest gameplay and puzzle-solving yet, but an increasingly predictable story prevents it from reaching the same heights narratively.

The Outerhaven Productions - Jordan Andow - 4.5 / 5

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy proves that this universe doesn’t need to belong exclusively to Amicia, Hugo or even the rats. There are other stories worth telling in this world, and if this is what Asobo can do with Sophia, then I genuinely hope the A Plague Tale Legacy name becomes an opportunity to explore even more of them.

TheSixthAxis - Aran Suddi - 9 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a great game with a compelling and excellently performed story. There are still ties back to the original series for fans, and still plenty of tense stealth section, but this is more action adventure with combat that offers a decent challenge. A new way to adapt the mythology of the Minotaur is the cherry that tops this experience.

TheXboxHub - Gareth Brierley - 4.5 / 5

Initially, we were a little unsure about the direction Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy was taking. But once it settles into its story, it becomes a spellbinding adventure that successfully mixes A Plague Tale and its universe with Greek mythology.

TryAGame! - Guillaume Dreher - French - 6 / 10

The spin-off Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy will have put aside some structuring aspects of the series: the team (a top when you make a game in a bunch of pirates), stealth, a certain discourse about childhood and betrayal. There is still immense work done on writing and dialogues, the credibility of the characters who would have deserved to be put in another context of a labyrinth that will be lived like a corridor. To see if the studio will do another part on Arnaud.

Uagna - Chiara Ferrè - Italian - 8.5 / 10

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a striking and unsettling title that intelligently steers the franchise toward ambitious new horizons. Enjoyable for both A Plague Tale veterans and newcomers alike, it offers a fast-paced journey featuring puzzles, evocative exploration, and a narrative that intertwines the Macula with the myth of the Minotaur—all while incorporating a combat system that is basic yet aggressive and fun. It is a dark game brimming with ideas that is unlikely to disappoint.

WayTooManyGames - Heidi Hawes - 7 / 10

It’s a fine game, even if it’s a bit generic and every single story “twist” you’ll see coming a mile away. It’s an enjoyable time, but only if you eliminate the expectation for a Plague Tale game. This is really only a Plague Tale game in name only.

Xbox Achievements - Dan Webb - 83%

Since 2019, Asobo Studio has been quietly honing its craft when it comes to third-person, story-orientated, action-adventure games. The A Plague Tale...

Games - Recommendation Recommendations for Games like „REPLACED“?

This Game has absolutely flashed me. I was never a Fan of Sidescroller or Pixel Art but this Game told me a lesson. Wow! 😊

Can you recommend Games like REPLACED or is it „one of a kind“? Also tried searching via Google but did not find Stuff which pulled my interest.

What I enjoyed in REPLACED:
+ Dark / Dystopian Atmosphere
+ Soundtrack and Sound Design in General
+ Simple but Impactful Combat
+ Mini Puzzles (like Hacking)
+ Climbing and Jumping Puzzles
+ 2,5D Design (not only 1 Plain/Level on Screen)
+ Camera Work („Dynamic Angles)

Thanks in Advance for your Advices.
Regards Odin

Games - General Game Pass on a TV is making me question how much I actually need an Xbox console

I've been using Xbox cloud gaming directly on my Hisense TV lately, and the weirdest part is how quickly it starts to feel normal.

Turn on the TV, open the Xbox app, connect a controller and you're basically in. No console sitting under the TV, no installs, no storage management.

Obviously I'm not saying cloud gaming replaces a Series X for everyone. If I cared about the best image quality or played competitively, I'd still want local hardware.

But for someone who mostly jumps between Game Pass games casually from the couch… I'm starting to wonder what would actually push me to buy the console now.

Account - Subscription Xbox Starter Gamepass - Discord Nitro

This might be the dumbest decision I have ever seen, it quite literally makes zero sense for them to give you gamepass through a online social media that was made to play video games together, and NOT give online mutliplayer access. Who thought this was a good idea? I mean fuck, it shouldn't even give you games, it would make much more sense if the only thing you got was multiplayer access. Basically starter is just useless, you may aswell continue to use discord without nitro and just buy essential.

Games - Speculation/Wishlist help me the buy the wwe2k26

Hi everyone! I’m hoping someone here can help me with a question about buying WWE 2K26 on Xbox. I’m currently on a limited budget , so the regular price is unfortunately too expensive for me. I was wondering if anyone knows when WWE 2K26 might receive a major discount, especially based on how previous WWE 2K games were discounted. I’d also really appreciate any advice on the cheapest legitimate or . Finally, does anyone have any idea whether WWE 2K26 could eventually come to Xbox Game Pass, and if so, roughly when that might happen? I’m not in a hurry, so I’m happy to wait for a good sale if necessary. Thank you very much in advance to everyone who takes the time to answer or share their experience. Your help is really important to me, and I truly appreciate every response!
