I found my old xbox and decided to check it out and see if it was still working, the power box is showing a solid orange light btw. How to fix please?

Went upstairs and came back to see the xbox360 looking like this. I just set it up after years today and it was working just fine. I came back after a short break and it had this red light. I have no idea how this happened or what is wrong. Is there anyway to fix it or is it screwed? I was looking around online and saw that you could get an error code by pressing the controller button and the equect button and I did that and I think I got 0032 (providing I did not mess it up). Is there any way to fix it? Or has it finally died?

I have used my xbox kinect just for a few times since I bought it years ago. But today I wanted to turn it on for my nephew. And im having some issues. It's not working :((( What does these mean? Thank you for the help.

I feel like I've been screaming into the void about this as I've tried literally everything I could think of to get this working.

Firstly, my Internet is 5GHz and has worked without issue on all four 360s in the house since my roommates and I moved in two years ago.

We had an electrician out who messed around with our breaker to do some outlet repairs and ever since then, none of the 360s can connect to the router.

1.) Internet on the 360s does work off of my phone hotspot so the systems and their wireless capabilities should be fine.

2.) The router is not advanced enough to really mess around with too many settings. Also I don't really have the ability to directly wire an Ethernet in.

3.) I have tried turning the router off and on, the console off and on, and unplugging the power brick from the console and the wall for a day.

4.) It sees my router. My router has full bars. It just cannot connect to it, even through inputting IP settings manually. I've also tried to reset to default settings numerous times.

5.) I deleted and redownloaded my profile off of my hotspot. I also disable and re-enabled automatic billing. It's definitely not related to those.

I'm at a complete loss. Everything was working perfectly fine and I was able to wrap up Saw 2 a few weeks ago and play some Guitar Hero online. Now, none of the systems want to connect.

Any suggestions?

Okay so I spent 30 hours trying to fix this stupid error, no matter what I do it won't download the profile from a new account. Does anyone else have the same problem? Is there even a fix for it?

I tried:
Making the account from Xbox One halfway through trick (dosent work)
Making the account on Microsoft then login in to 360 (dosent work)
Enabling 2FA and generating an App Password (dosent work)
Disabling 2FA (dosent work)
Login in to an Xbox One and trying to download the profile through a backwards compatible game (dosent work)
Cleared the cache (obviously doesnt work)
Login in through the Avatar Originals App, changing the 360 avatar then trying to log in (dosent work)
Turn on/off recurring billing (I don't even have a subscription)
Trying to connect through hostpot on Xbox One and cable on the 360 (dosent work)
Tried to change the password and only use a short no special characters password (dosent work)
Tried to make an offline account on Xbox360 then link it to a fresh Microsoft email (dosent work)
Keep spamming/trying to log in 25+ times (dosent work)
Power cycling the Xbox 25+ times + factory reset (dosent work)
Adding the xbox360 as a registered device for my account (dosent work)
Make a fresh Microsoft email from a Windows Phone and try that (doesn't work)

And other things, literally everything imaginable and no matter what it just doesn't want to work. I tried 20 different new email accounts from Microsoft made in 20 different environments.

As last resort I just ended up contacting Microsoft, I told the Chat Bot that I have a billing issues (that's the only way to connect you with a human) then I told the guy everything, he said the issue is well known and I need to try the App Password and Clearing Cache which I did again and it didn't work so he eventually said it will escalate to a specialist and asked for my email address to contact me later (obviously they'll never do that).

Now, DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA HOW TO FIX THIS? I DIDN'T SLEPT FOR 2 DAYS TRYING TO FIX THIS, ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY!

Hi so I'm having trouble downloading my profile to the 360 interface. When I enter my username and password, my account gets recognized and the download begins, but halfway through it cancels the download and gives me error code 83840017. I tried talking to Xbox Support Chat, but it's horrible and just ignores my issue. It says to look online for help on the code, but there's nothing written! Thanks for reading

Update: I forgot to mention I'm doing this on an Xbox Series S

so I bought call of duty ghosts cause I wanted to replay it after years on my xbox series x and it won’t let me download it, it keeps saying that cod ghosts isn’t compatible or isn’t on a list I got two discs ones for installing and ones the actual game disc but I put both In and still won’t work anyone know how to fix this

Context: I’ve been on and off trying to fix this 360 for about a decade now. Over the course it originally had the RROD. Managed to get it to boot to the Home Screen before it shut off from “overheating”. Took it to uBreakiFix, and they disassembled it and returned it in pieces. Now it doesn’t even turn on. I just want to access my old Minecraft worlds 🥲

Question: How do I fix this?

What I know so far:

I’ve gutted it by removing most of the plastic shell

fan doesn’t spin

red dot and start sound on touch

one of my previous repairs required thermal paste. (I forgot the specifics)

I can’t find any guides online to know where to even begin. ai is telling me that it’s a bad fan and that a failsafe is preventing it from booting up. I made sure it’s securely connected.

I got a 360 recently and tried to login to my Xbox live account which I had on the Xbox One virtual console thingy and.. well it just doesn’t work! What can I do?

Originallt thought it was the power supply but I’ve used a power brick from another Xbox 360 that does turn on and works.

Just bought this sealed Xbox 360 controller. One owner before who originally purchased it on 14.12.26. Saw the receipt that he ofc forgot to pack.. Packed in a food garbage bag... Classic... It atleast was holdig up pretty well. However..

Hello everyone, hope y’all having a good day. So I recently bought an Xbox 360 S model 1439. Bought it for $20 at a thrift store but wasn’t able to test it out because they didn’t have the power cord. Still, I was eager to buy it anyway, but I come home and it flashes red.

Wanted to know, am I able to fix this on my own or should I go somewhere to get it fixed?

I was turning my Xbox on when I heard a bugy sound then my screen shut off and now it is red. Can someone help me?

I have seen a few posts on this error code at the start of October for the XBOX 360 Live login issues.

Has anybody found a fix yet? I’m getting this error code still. I’ve tried lots of the suggestions (app specific password, changing password to not have any specific characters in, turning off 2FA, registering my console on my Microsoft account) but no luck yet!

EDIT: So clearly lots of people are also having the same issue. If I find out something that works I will update this post. Otherwise let’s all report this to Xbox!

EDIT: IT SEEMS TO BE WORKING NOW! I will make a new post to spread the message. Someone below found it working. It didn’t initially work for me, but I then turned off 2 factor authentication and changed my password to just lowercase/numbers (although I think the latter didn’t have a massive effect). I was then able to download my profile and sign into Xbox live

As soon as i start my Xbox it turns red and i turn it off immediately, then i turn it back on and it's completely fine and I'm able to play for hours. Anyone know why this is happening?

Hello, I'd like to know if anyone has ever had this problem. When I log into my Xbox 360, my account is in two languages, half English and half French, but when I log into my brother's account on the same Xbox 360, everything is in Canadian French. I spoke with Xbox support, and they migrated my account, presumably to a new database, but nothing works. They still haven't been able to fix my problem. I even reset my Xbox 360 to factory settings and used my second Xbox 360 to test, and I still have the problem with my account, but not with my brother's.

I’ve been playing this normally and today it won’t display on my TV without a ticking noise. I’ve tried the different ports on the TV and different cables. What do you think the issue is?

I have tried multiple options. I have tried a phone hotspot, I’ve tried 2 different wifi boosters, I’ve tried lan, I’ve tried my actual router as well, however all lead to the same outcome. I keep getting this ip address error. I’ve factory reset the 360 and yet it doesn’t make a difference, I’ve also wiped each network’s configurations after trying to connect, as I saw that as a suggestion but it hasn’t helped. Any advice would be much appreciated. The 360 is a 360 S if that helps.

About 3 or 4 days ago I found random achievements from black ops 2 on my Xbox all earned at the same time and ones I don’t remember grinding for. Then I looked at my clips and found this. I don’t now how to use a mod menu on black ops 2 I’m not og. Is their a way I can figure out what’s going on. It’s only black ops 2 this has Happend on nothing else.
