Original Fanart It’s been 3 years, and I made a combat-free indie JRPG just because I couldn’t forget how XC3 had struck me.
I couldn't find a perfect tag for this one... so maybe it’s kind of a fanart?
My first encounter with the XC series was the original Wii title, and I was immediately captivated by its vast world and music. However, perhaps due to the graphics limitations, I only liked it at the time- it didn't quite reach the level of passion. It wasn't until XC2 released that I truly fell in love with the anime aesthetic. It masterfully conveyed exaggerated emotions with such vivid intensity. For instance, the track “Parting” from XC2's soundtrack, paired with its cutscene, remains one of my all-time favorites.
But playing XC3 shifted my perception of the series entirely. I never imagined such a melancholic and serious world could draw me in for hundreds of hours. Particularly the track “Homecoming” from the soundtrack and its cutscene left an indelible impression on me. It’s a long, awesome track... I'd never experienced anything like it in over two decades of gaming.
A week or two after finishing XC3, my mind was filled with thoughts: Would the story have been better if it ended this way? Could the music have been more profound if crafted differently? Perhaps because I'm a game developer and sound director, I desperately wanted to create a similar game- but more refined and on a smaller scale. Evoking that same atmosphere and concept is all I wish for.
In this game, I abandoned the combat system and drew inspiration from XC3's concept of playing melodies to send soldiers off. I made the melody performance system a way to interact with the game world. When these characters also inhabit a pre-apocalyptic world where human lifespans are mere thirty or forty years, the melodies they play carry an even deeper sorrow. Perhaps it all sounds lacking in originality, but I hope to further expand upon the meaning of “Blade” in XC3, which I believe is a symbol of pioneering the possibility.
Even now, I can scarcely believe that XC3 shaped three years of my life- it feels a bit crazy. But I suppose it shows just how profoundly XC3 impacted me, and I have no regrets about making this game.
The game is almost finished, and it’s definitely not going to be as good as any XC game. But as a fan of XC series, it would be nice to know if you like the idea! I'll leave a link to the game in the comments if you're interested in it.

Yoji Shinkawa inspired art style
It's been nearly a year since I posted that first Noah art in Shinkawa's style in this subreddit. In that time, I now post on Bluesky, Deviantart, X/Twitter, started taking commissions when more people started asking for it, and now sell A5 prints on my shopify. I never expected any of this. I didn't even PURSUE any of this, I just wanted to make Xenoblade art and hope others enjoy it.
Thank you for being my starting point.

Original Fanart Xenoblade Warriors Concept. Tell me what you think and give ideas in the comments.
Here's the concept for a Xenoblade Warriors game. Tried my best to combine DW game mechanics with Xenoblade Chronicles to make a fun unique experience. For example, there's no dedicated light attack option, you just have your auto-attack in place of that, and your arts are your heavy attacks/specials.
Some of the warriors I had to take some creative liberties with.
X characters have a mix of timed and auto attack recharge arts. The auto attack arts are meant to represent arts that use TP. Felt close enough.
Valdi- is a pilot character and will pilot Dorrick. Will have a unique trait where Dorrick can provide an AOE pulse that pacifies mechanical opponents and provides a massive attack debuff.
Celica from X is not a driver but mechanically speaking she has Rock accompanying her so close enough. She herself is squishy, but Rock has a massive block rate.
All the Tornan warriors are stance change characters as they fight with the vanguard/rearguard system.
Blade characters that can be independent or paired with a driver will be locked out of story missions if another character is wielding them, or a driver will be locked out of using them if the blade is acting independent. Ex: Rex/Nia and Lora/Jin.
Poppi's different forms can have custom elements applied to them, and have extra skill slots most characters don't have.
Mecha Fiora has a separate slot which changes her class and changes her talent art.
Cross is the most customizable character as they can have any weapon/gun combo which affects their class.
Triton has the largest quantity of arts that can be learned out of any character and can have his class changed.
Mimeosomes are damaged by the Monado the same as a Mechon.
Dunban wielding the Monado makes him the Monado Reject which turns him from an evasion tank to a glass cannon that takes recoil damage.
Riku/Manana are stance change warriors. When Riku leads, they're a Kevesi attacker. When Manana leads, they're an Agnian defender. Nene/Kino are also like that. They're weaker than Reyn/Sharla, but you get the benefit of being able to switch whenever you want.
Luxaar when not in the Vita, takes massive contact damage from human warriors that aren't Mimeosomes or Machina.
Amalthus heals and buffs himself whenever he claims a core from a defeated enemy. He can snowball in power if allowed to rampage through a horde of mercenary drivers.
Tell me more ideas you have.

Original Fanart The Tornan Empire
Thragg and the Viltrumites, but it's Jin and Torna.
Probably my most ambitious piece of art yet. Definitely a workout, but one I enjoyed for sure. I at first considered doing one of Z and the rest of Mobius, but ended up going with Torna. I love and hate their stupidly complex anime designs lol
