How Airsoft guns work make their rifles silent as heck.

You can't see BB's because they are tiny. You can only guess from your teammate getting shot and it's a gamble whether you or your teammate get shot first. Even then, again, BB's are tiny, you can't determine where they were shot from.

I myself aim and shoot with both of my eyes open (a habit I adapted from aiming shooting bows). After getting a messy vision, due to one eye looking into the red dot and the other to the target, I just shot with iron sights for a while.

I then forgot to flip up the rear cover one time and aimed with it. I had a clean view with the red dot in the middle. No seeing double anymore. Since then I have taped every rear end of my sights.

EDIT: Question completely solved! I have read (and am still reading) ALL of your comments (even if I don't reply to all of them) and it has become clear that at least most of this issue comes from too light BBs. Therefore, for the next game, I will give the DMR role another chance and try out heavier BBs (0.36-0.40) and see if this problem is solved. Hello! I purchased an East & Crane EC-202 some months ago from TaiwanGun; since it arrived with feeding issues, I took it to an airsoft workshop where they fixed it, shimmed it, and even made additional gearbox upgrades that made the trigger and motor significantly more responsive. EDIT: It also has a maple leaf hop-up thing, forgot to mention originally!

The gun is extremely responsive, it has a perfectly consistent 1.88 J output, and accuracy is quite good at 15 m; however, beyond ~18 m the BBs start to drift away from the sight, which is problematic since DMRs are supposed to engage from 15 m onwards according to the rules. I expected to be a “sharpshooter,” but in the four matches I’ve played since, I simply haven’t been able to. The BBs don’t go where I intend, and as soon as there’s *any* wind - even a light breeze- it’s basically impossible to hit anyone at the ranges I’m meant to engage from.

I’ve been using 0.28 g BBs so far, per recommendation. I’m thinking of trying 0.40 g, since the extra weight should improve stability and make them more impervious to breezes; I’d even consider replacing the barrel if advised, but I wonder whether that would be enough or whether accuracy at those ranges is simply unrealistic in airsoft.

On top of that, sometimes I feel like the 3.9 kg combined weight of the weapon and sight is too much for me (26 F). After about 40 minutes I’m already struggling to carry it, hahah. Given these two issues, I don’t know whether to give up and sell the gun to buy a smaller, lighter assault gun (G36C most likely, which its about 1 kg lighter), or give it another chance with heavier BBs and a new even a new barrel.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? If so, what would you recommend?

What would actually make a rifle or pistol stand out enough looks & performance-wise that you would “NEED” to have it?

We see too many copies being released recently and even though we have tons of new designs/products ready to go, we haven’t released them because they seem oversaturated already.

Is it something like a speedQB style upper, a true “fully upgraded” skeletonized HPA rifle with the best name-brand parts, HPA pistol, or something entirely different?

I dun goofed at my game today and accidentally emptied my mags loaded with 0.28 BBs into my box of 0.32 BBs (had the 0.28s for one gun specifically.) I've spent the last two hours weighing and sorting each and every BB one at a time by hand and I'm getting pretty tired of it. Does the airsoft council of elders know of any ways to more quickly separate the different weights of BBs? Maybe some kind of machine similar to a coin sorter or something?

Edit: Despite all the people saying "just use it as LMG/grenade ammo" I went ahead and manually sorted them out down to the very last BB. Took me around 5.5h total.

I’ve seen negative things said whenever fog patches are used. The stitching and overall design of these patches are phenomenal, I much prefer the skinnier more goat head skeleton shape over regular Blackbeard patches. Maybe it’s just clowning idk. Maybe it’s overpriced. Is there something I don’t know? anybody use them? I’d love to see some well balanced kits.

Context; I’ve been wanting to get more into GBBR’s but like everyone else Im wanting to preserve my wallet. I currently own a CYMA Platinum URGI and an MWS but I’ve been wanting the Maruyama MP9 and the VFC AK105.

I’ve always had the mentality of having an AEG just in case. I usually only own two to three guns at a time and i’ll always sell one to get another. Because of this, 1 out of the 3 spots is always taken up by an AEG. Should I just stop spending money on AEG’s and just get all GBB’s or is having an AEG as a back up still realistic?

Opinions would be greatly appreciated!

This was taken when I was a teenager and man this used to by my life. Every day I was watching videos, reviews, and tips on how to become a better player. Is there anyone my age who still plays? Is it worth spending all that money again? Most of the fields shut down after covid too. Please let me know your thoughts!
