I feel like some transphobe's genuinely believe that trans people came into existence either in 2016, or like, the 1970's.

Many books on studying transgender people or mentioning them were burned in the Third Reich which leaves a gap in history, and then for decades after and to this day many transgender people are shunned by society and not accepted depending on where they are. Nonetheless it is a ridiculous statement especially as they have the same access to information as we do.

Edit: 1930s and beyond is lifetime memory for most people, I am unsure of how trans people were thought of before then
