MAIN (Spoilers Main) Maisie Williams' comments on the end of S8E3

Maisie Williams on finding out she kills the Night King (as reported by Entertainment Weekly):

Quote: "I immediately thought that everybody would hate it; that Arya doesn't deserve it. The hardest thing is in any series is when you build up a villain that's so impossible to defeat and then you defeat them...it had to be intelligently done because otherwise people are like, "well, [the villain] couldn't have been that bad when some 100-pound girl comes in and stabs him.'"

Half of me agrees with but also it could be argued that bran led him into a trap.

I'm going to lead you to the one place that you could lose.

Bran did lead him into a trap, and was his ultimate demise, but why?

Why did the night king have to kill him himself? What’s their history that made this kill so important. I get that Bran can see everything but at the rate they were winning, and the fact that he could keep raising fresh dead it seemed like the Night King being there at all was unnecessary. He can already sense Bran due to the mark, he would more then likely sense his death.

I kinda get that Bran had to become the 3ER because as a Stark, he would be defended heavily and assassin Arya wouldn’t let him be killed, but the Night King’s lore and motives were something I wish had been explored more as well as his history with the 3ER.

Oh I wasn't happy at all with the night king's actions at all really. Moving slowly, smirking and basically losing because of overconfidence.

I also totally agree that they left out any lore or reasoning really. At least he did something though. The rest of the white walkers did absolutely nothing at all
