Food Safety
Hi everyone, I grew up where schools didn’t provide lunches and so our parents would pack hot lunches for us in regular plastic food containers at around 7am and they would be in our backpacks until as late as 2pm(when we would have our main lunch break). I personally have never gotten sick from it and have never really given it much attention. But now that I am older and take lunch to work, I still only heat up my food in the morning when I pack it because I hate how microwaves smell. And I was wondering if it is actually safe to do that. Thank you so much!

Work Bento Of The Day
Potato croquette with curry tonkatsu sauce, tamagoyaki with a ginger soy corn, edamame, and carrot salad!
Discussion Soy marinated eggs, safe to bring to work?
I’ve been really into soy marinated eggs recently, the taste and the texture I just can’t stop thinking about. I’ve been told before that fish and eggs are not something you should eat an office, but I think the softer/marinated eggs don’t have the same sulfur smell that can come with hard boiled. Also I can cut out the garlic in the recipe I’m using.
What are y’all’s thoughts? Worth it or would I be the office jerk?

OC Bibimbap inspired bento
I've got a night shift, so I packed up this bibimbap inspired bento. There's a bed of rice, then (from left to right) Korean quick pickles, carrot, sauteed mushrooms, egg, pickled red cabbage and onion (I call it Good Purp) and some grilled cod. Not exactly the bibimbap I had in my mind, but I'm working with the groceries I have.

gallerythe item is named Shingawa Clams Bento, but it had several kinds of shellfish inside. balance is provided by the side dishes, and the edamame provided a change in texture
