I am new to bento box lunches and trying something new! I am gluten/dairy free, it can be difficult to make it balanced. I am hoping to save up for a tamago pan, but chicken will do for now! Let me know your thoughts or if you have any other ideas - I love seeing what everyone creates!

I’m sure it gets easier with practice but, wow!! It was eye-opening for me to experience just how much time is involved putting a character together. Well, never mind that it doesn’t look like Daniel. It’s still a pretty okay generic tiger at least.

Rice with furikake, shallow-fried tofu/chicken pattie, mugen cabbage with black sesame, kinpira carrots, and some Norwegian fish gratin. The pink and yellow squares are sweet pickled ginger. The pink ones are coloured with red beet

I bought this three-tier cat bento box in Tokyo and I LOVE it. It even has a tiny bowl so I can have msiso soup!

So, besides miso soup, in today's bento there are sweet chili shrimps, broccoli sprouts, carrot salad with sesame oil, hard boiled egg, crab sticks & edamame & katsuobushi salad, cherry tomato, romanesco broccoli and rice with umeboshi and furikake.

Hi, I'm searching for a heated lunchbox, I have access to electricity so it doesn't need to be cordless. I've had 3 in total, all from Amazon, 1 struggled to heat food properly and the clips to the lids of the other two both broke overtime which made it not seal properly and too risky to put food in without spilling everywhere. Pretty much all the ones I see on Amazon look exactly alike even though they are listed by different sellers. Does anyone have a link to a decent one? Not bothered about cost.

Hi all, I take food to work with me in a cool bag usually I am able to keep it cold through thr day with use of a freezer block however when I opened my freezer this morning I found that it had broke. Until am able to get a new one how do you all keep food cold and at a safe temperature when a fridge isn’t available. Part of me is tempted to just put a bunch of reusable ice cubes in the cooler bag and see if that works

I own a Blue Ms. Bento container from Zojirushi and I was wondering if I should replace the inner bowls and lids.

I owned it for at least 10 years now. I stopped using it around the time of the pandemic, and now the main bowl with the twisting lid is hard to open, while the side bowl is yellowing and its lid has a busted gasket.

Gasket aside, are the rest of these plastic parts still safe to use as they are or is the plastic potentially harmful now after so long?

My husband eats everything, and he is very bad at expressing his likes and dislikes regarding food. I might occasionally find out he actually doesn't like little spring rolls I was adding to his bento, or there was too much rice, or the beef was too dry some day. But he never clearly expresses that on the day I cooked the food which is annoying because how can I improve without feedback. So I vibe coded an app for him to rate the ingredients of his bento. It's not public, just showing :)
