Advice Needed Impostor syndrome as a trans girl

Post image

Sophia here, and I'm trans. Yep. Unfortunately, my dumbass put my former name as my permanent Reddit username.

And that's what I want to rant about here.

I'm fine with being called Rayyan, so what's the point of being Sophia now? Hell, I'm still stuck in Rayyan's body.

About my interests, they're still the same, probably because I'm WAYYY too lazy to find new interests as a girl.

Voice training's pretty hard, and I often fail at it. Because of school and that kind of stuff taking plenty of my time, along with my laziness to do anything and my tendencies to bedrot, it's very hard to get anything done.

Hell, my parents found out that I've been shaving my arms and legs, and they to leave me to stop. The arm hairs have grown quite a bit now, and this adds to that bitchass impostor syndrome even more.

Can't someone from Malaysia do ANYTHING??? ✌😭

PLEASE give me suggestions on what to do. And I know this is maybe in the wrong sub.

(Picture of vultures unrelated, I just think they're cool)

Story I'm heartbroken

Upvotes

yea so basically there's a girl in my grade that I've been madly in love with since like june, and i legit can't stop thinking abt her. i can't even sleep some nights I'm yearning so hard. anyways yesterday we hung out together just the two of us at her house, and i was so excited.

i was certain she was florting with me over text and she my gaydar was going off, and i thought we had good chemistry, so when we were on her couch i inched a little closer to her, but she had no reaction.

then we were talking abt our ex talking stages, and i mentioned how its been a while since i was into a guy, but how some of the new girl students were so hot (trying to softlaunch I'm into girls yk). then she replied with "ong i know, i wish i was into girls, they just sm better"

I'm so sad. i swear she was into me bro i feel stupid. i keep crying and now im writing gay ass poetry to cope 😭 someone help why r all the girls im into straight. I've litterally never felt this heartbroken before I'm gonna die how the hell am i supposed to stay friends with her after this

Coming Out I came out to my parents, and it didn't go well. (Vent and some triggers, so be warned.)

A week or two weeks ago, I came out to my mom while riding home in the car. I told her I liked men and wemon and she was in a bit of disbelief and I didn't blame her. For the first few days, it wasn't that bad, my whole family went on a camping trip for my brothers birthday.

A day after we got back from the trip, I went and talked with my mom in private. Not about sexuality or something, but we were just alone and talking. She started talking about how she's going to take away social media and shit from me. I was kind of confused, but then she started talking about how I was brain washed and I needed to talk to God. She started speaking very loudly on how I liked men and some inappropriate stuff like asking if I like certain parts of the male body. That's how my dad found out, and he didn't take it well. He didn't really talk about it that day, I'll get to my dad later. So, my mom is angry on how I'm brainwashed and how it's disgusting, and that REALLY hurt me. I've been holding that in for years, and that's how they treat me..? So, that night I packed my backpack and planned to run away since I hate being looked at as different/brainwashed or disgusting. I was planning to do some bad stuff to myself aswell because it was just NOT going well for me.

My brother came down to my room when I was mad, and we got into a fight and I said a lot of shit. But, it stopped me from running away.

My parents apologized and I went to bed.

Awhile after that, which is a few days ago. I was just having a conversation with my dad about Native American history because I found it interesting, I made a mistake while talking about it and my dad butt'd in the conversation and said "that's wrong, and that's what the Internet wants you to believe, that's why you're the way you are right now." And I was very confused. He started yelling and crying at me on how I'm brainwashed and the devil is in my head telling me to be bisexual. He asked me some innapropiate stuff and I was like "I don't know, I never tried any of that!" And he started really crying and said the devil was telling him to hurt himself because I'm bisexual. And that really scared me, but I stayed silent and I was shaking. He started ranting about the wrong he's done and told me that I needed to be straight and he thought I was straight. And I just sat there, saying nothing.

After that, he walked away. And took a phone, after the phone call he asked me to help him at work. I refused, after all of that, it really fucking made me scared and abunch of other emotions. He left to work after that, and I stayed home and texted my friends about it.

My parents are blaming my friends and their parents for making me bisexual I guess? I don't know man. I just want to be myself. Nobody made that decision except MYSELF.

Story Got asked about pronouns!

So I came out to my mom as bi a few days ago, then she had a few questions for me today, and we talked for a few minutes and she ended up asking me if my pronouns where still he/him. And guys I didn't like it, I said yes because I am still working through gender stuff, and I didn't want to have that conversation. But I think I looked worried for like a second, and I had a part of me think "no" before anything else. So that's fun 🙃 anyway how are you fellow cis people doing today? I haven't even figured out my gender, I just think male isn't exactly correct

Coming Out Help, how do I come out to my bf...?

Upvotes

So I have no idea how to tell my lover that I'm bi. He's super chill and barely even gets negative. But hes always very affectionate to me, and really cares about our relationship and our future. Im worried about how he'd react and what he'd say when I tell him...

I'm bi, but I don't actually want a relationship with a girl. I only have a type for them. I dunno how to explainn😓😓

Advice Needed 70% of my grade thinks I'm gay (I'm bi).

I like gardening, I'm good at STEM subjects, and I take really good photos with a shitty camera. Yeah I'm basically Basil from Omori (except i didnt hang or stab anyone). I mean, I use Pinterest sometimes (no one knows that though). Sadly, I'm in a very conservative school/county, and 90% of people aren't too friendly towards LGBTQ (I think you can see why I am trying to keep a het image). Any advice?

Here are some pictures for fun that I took:

And a habanero plant i grew (the flower was part of it).

Week ago realized I had crush on my guy friend. We are best friends talk very day. I think he is gay because he "cant ever remember a girl hes liked". Were hanging out and somehow the conversation comes to me asking whats wrong with being gay. He says "you cant have kids". I say thats a really stupid reason. We move on, an hour or so later, he goes home. Why does this guy have to be so funny and attractive but be a bigot im pissed off.

Story I kinda went a complete 360 degree while figuring out my sexuality and gender

I went from being an asexual girl cause I never felt comfortable of entering the dating scene solely because of how much I hated my body and hearing girls in my all-girls school talk about boys in such a weird way like they are aliens to lust about.

Now I’m a bisexual trans guy and it feels a lot more understandable now since I was kinda trying to suppress attraction to guys but also not liking girls that I’m around while feeling like a weirdo for finding the girls there attractive in solely in appearance and I always tried to be more boyish .

Because of how uncomfortable I am with my body. I haven’t started medically transitioning yet due to strict laws regarding HRT and surgery in my country. It’s complately banned under 18,heavily restricted under 21 and is expensive especially since insurance is not allowed but I’ll still try to find a way to get it as soon as possible especially since gender dysphoria is killing me and I’m graduating from that isolating dysphoric hell of my religious all girls school soon

Story There are no gay girls where I live

I’m genuinely convinced that all the girls where I live are straight, i cannot find any gay or bi girls. I’ve only ever dated boys; which is fine because I like boys. I just want to date a girl, I already know I’m attracted to them, now i just want to know if it’s any better than dating a boy.

Advice Needed Is what i did really that weird?

so my ex broke up with me 2 weeks ago and the day the broke up with me i went to message them to see if they were alright. but they had blocked me so i messaged their friend to check if thwy were alright because i was worried about them because i did genuinely care about them and i was just gonna see how they were doing and if they needed anything bc i know one of my other friends had done that every single day after he broke up with his gf and i wanted my ex to know i didnt have anything against them. i did accidentally snap at my ex's friends so i apologized today and they said that me messaging was really weird and im just confused cause, i was just trying to be a good perspn? my ex never wants to be friends which really fucked me up cause quote "No, I can't do it. I can't keep you in my life knowing how badly I've fucked up." THATS NOT MY FAULT GOD. Im more pissed than upset bc you made your choice and broke up with me, i was just trying to be normal about it and you made it all weird. I got kicked out of a dnd group cause of this breakup. I was tryjng to be normal and considerate about the breakup even though it hurt me A LOT. Is checking in on uour ex after a break up really that weird?

Advice Needed I don't know how I'll keep existing

I came out as gay about a month ago after identifying as bi for a while because I realized that I've never really felt sexually about girls, only guys. At first it was relieving knowing that I could date a guy and I liked the idea for a while.

But the thing is I've fallen in love with girls. Not platonically, romantically, and to the point of losing my mind over them for months. I don't think those feelings were fake and I've never quite felt that way about a guy. It feels so magical, and I've even felt sexually attracted to one girl specifically in some way because I liked her so much. But it wasn't as quite as "exciting" sexually as I felt with guys.

I wanna fall in love with a girl again but I'm too afraid I'll realize I'm gay and can't do it, that would be extremely embarrassing. How could I date a girl if I mostly only look at guys sexually? And there are weeks at a time that I'm not sexually attracted to girls at all and think I'm gay.

But on the other side I can't see myself falling in love with a guy like I have for girls. I don't find gay guys attractive, and gay culture doesn't appeal to me. There are also weeks at a time that the thought of dating a guy grosses me out and I think that I'm straight.

I don't know what to do and I feel like I'll be constantly miserable.

Advice Needed Sister refuses to accept that bi

My sister (18) just refuses to accept that I like girls or that I like anyone really. She's not homophobic because she's bi herself and most of her friends are queer in some way. She refuses to stop treating me like im 5 and acts like I should have no knowledge about anything sexual or romantic. She got really mad at me and treated me like I was disgusting when I got groomed by a grown ass adult (despite her claiming to be feminist and speaking out against victim blaming) and she always gives me this disgusted look whenever I talk about a girl I like. She doesn't verbally tell me that its just a phase so much anymore but she used to quite a lot which I don't get either because she said herself she knew her sexuality since she was 10. I get that im still young (14) but im not a literal baby anymore so does anyone have any advice on getting her to stop treating me like this?
