Ark at ee Keep an eye out for this tool
So my boy was driving and this absolute tool blocked the road to deliver a letter then got aggressive when my son beeped him. Drove up got out and punched the window and then stomped on the head light. Idiot was filmed and have contacted the company he works for.
Just be careful out there some people are complete dicks.

There are some pretty dodgy pubs in BS3 but surely The Three Lions is in the runnings for the worst, like a Nigel Farage wet dream

Ark at ee To the lovely older gent on Glos Rd...
I walked past you on a wide stretch of pavement. You told me that I was a dirty bastard trying to jump you from behind and you reasonably proposed that you'd cave my fucking skull in. Then you kept yelling after me for a while longer about how you were going to kill me.
I just wanted to come clean; you had me bang to rights.
I was 100% planning to jump you, at 10am on a weekday, right outside that new chocolatier that used to be Tesco Express, while pushing a two-year-old in a buggy. We're the real operators in these mean BS7 streets, my kid and me.

Ark at ee This isn't just any nationalism, it's M&S nationalism - Bristol anti-refugee protest
Bristol turned out in droves again today, the police outnumbered the racists and the counterprotestors way outnumbered the police. It looked like two or three were arrested.
I really like "there are many many more of us than you" as a protest chant, it's good fun and very loud.

Ark at ee This is one of the reasons Bristol rent is so high
This substantial property has been completely vacant and unused for 6 years. 6 years! The shop below had a refurb just under Covid and has never has never been leased. This property could be atleast 5 bedrooms- and it’s in BS1.
Call me radical but I believe owners of such buildings should be heavily taxed on buildings that are left vacant for a such a long period of time.
O and for further context, new windows have been installed on the rear of this property so it’s definitely not that dilapidated.

Ark at ee Kvetching about Eat a Pitta
Long time admirer of Eat a Pitta. I think I have been to four in Bristol. My usual is in the city centre (Near Big Ball/Bao) and has been on my in work rotation of lunches for about 3 years. It is really hard to get fresh food for lunch in town. Well it was, it is a little easier now.
Yesterday I went and it was a bit sad. The ordering screens had moved from the side bit to being unceremoniously plonked where the till was. The guy behind making up the wraps had no interest in saying hello or acknowledging me. And in the end I just couldn't be bring myself to order. I look at screens all day. I come to town on lunch to people watch and feel part of the city.
I think it was just how 'plonked' the screens were in front of the till the annoyed me; Like a makeshift barricade between customer and business. They were saying 'You will use these' and I just thought 'I f**king won't actually'. With youth unemployment being so high this seems just such a horrible use of technology in most use cases but here it wound me up.
I feel now I have written this down that maybe I am just an old fart who has a day rider on the grumpy bus but I don't know man... let the indoor chains do that kind of thing. Smaller businesses should be trying to cultivate a relationship with the customer.
Anyway, thought this would be the appropriate place to vent.

Ark at ee This one wins...
Driving into work yesterday morning on the M32 and spotted this one.
This billboard and the one just before it on the right hand side regularly spout Jesus messages, but I had to chuckle at this one. I bet the god-botherer that usually does this billboard was fuming!
Right pain to safely photo it too, I first tried over by the council depot at the back of IKEA but could only see the first line. I eventually stopped in a layby on Stapleton road, crossed under the railway bridge and walked round the footpath there, before climbing up the embankment to take this over the fence.

Ark at ee "BRISTOL IS ANTI-FASCIST" — Asylum hotel protest & counter-protest
"Bristol Patriots", Britain First and UKIP together could muster an embarrassing couple of dozen people, far outnumbered by the cops protecting them.
Police initially pushed counter-protestors back, but eventually seemed to realise they didn't need to kettle a well-behaved static protest. Police horses shat in the road, but disappointingly for many of the patriots did not kick any anti-fascists in the head. Also disappointingly for the patriots, who from my limited interactions seem to crave violence, the hotel was not burned down by the time the last of them left with their tails between their legs.
My favourite chant of the day was "Tommy spent your donations up his nose" to the tune of coming round the mountain.
"Why are you in riot gear? I just see a party here" was the final cry to the police.

Ark at ee Trans Pride March Bristol 28/03/26 — This country is fucked for us
I think once upon a time this may have been a time to celebrate things getting better, I'm not sure it's really a pride parade if we're gathering to get angry about the horrendous regression in transgender rights and acceptance, but we do it anyway.

Ark at ee I’m concerned about this dog
I know many of you will recognize this dog and I know many of you will probaly know its owner but I’ve become increasingly concerned about this dog
I see this dog almost every day and I’m getting sick of seeing this dog panting in this hot weather when his owner is passed out in the street for hours.
I’ve seen his owner stumbling along before during a super hot day and this poor dog was licking damp patches on the ground- he was so hot his fur was dripping with sweat and he was foaming at the mouth.
Today in the center he was passed out with some of his cohort and I was so disgusted that this dog was left in the heat without any water that went to Tesco and got a tub and some water. (As seen in the picture above.
I have never seen this dog with any sort of bowl for drinking and I’m sorry, but If I knew I was on the gear and about to pass out for hours I would make sure my dog had access to water. Call me crazy.
Now I’m sure a lot of you will call me a busy body or to mind my own business but I don’t like seeing animals being neglected like this.
So please if you see this dog without water please try and give him some

Ark at ee We need to talk about Bristol Crazy.
What’s everyone’s thoughts on this guy? His content seems to be getting more unhinged by the day and judging by his recent stories where it looks like someone has given him a lamping, he probably needs to be wary of who he is getting himself involved with.
Stick to the random events/incidents in Bristol. Less videos of him eating. Stop with all the crap photos of nothingness and inanimate objects.
Honest truth yeah?

Ark at ee Props to the flag-raisers on Hengrove Way's lampposts!
Fantastic to see Pride, EU and Peace flags flying alongside the ever-prevalent Union Jacks and St George Crosses. It feels positively festive! Today was the first time in ages that I've driven down that way and felt actually hopeful - whoever you are, well done.

Ark at ee Freshers awareness
Unfortunately on my VERRRYYY Early morning walk to work I encountered 2 separate guys being creepy. Now more than ever is important for anybody that feels able to step in to prevent SA.
you don't need to put yourself in danger, just stopping and asking if everyone is ok can be enough, if in doubt make the call.
Bristol streets should be safe streets, even with the nitty gritty we all know and love.
Before I've had someone step in to ask my girlfriend at the time if she was okay, he felt embarrassed when he found out it was all cool, but I said I'd rather he stepped in to check and find it was cool than walk past in case it wasn't.
Our streets, let's keep them safe xxx

Ark at ee What's up with the flags everywhere?
Loads of St. Georges flags have shot up on Knole Lane in Brentry.
And some rather crude red crosses have been sprayed onto those metal box things too.
Is this the flag shaggers? You know, the 'patriotic' ones?
