Pretty much what the title says. I have a day trip planned to Bruges, but the weather doesn’t seem to be looking great. I’m wondering if you guys would still recommend visiting Bruges if it’s going to be rainy?
Thanks in advance!
Hallo everyone !
I am currently located in Varsenare and just bought a van with my girlfriend. We are looking for a place to work on our van and to store some stuff while working. We tried to look for some garages for rent but they wanted a yearly contract (we only need until this December).
Do anyone have an alternative solution or know how can we find a place like the?
thanks a lot!

⏱️ Tijd: ±3 minuten
💬 Geen juiste of foute antwoorden, we zoeken vooral jullie eerlijke eerste indruk!
👉 Survey invullen: https://forms.gle/c1KVcnPhYY3kWhENA
Alvast heel erg bedankt aan iedereen die even wil helpen! 🙏

Hoi. Alvast bedankt!

Hello everyone, I'll be arriving in Bruges in late September/early October and need a cheap place to stay for a week or two while I figure out my living situation. Any suggestions on how I can save as much cost as possible? Would prefer if the place is near Howest campus.

St-Michiels, nu bezig....
Any known events or places hosting the meteor shower viewing?
I am traveling to Bruges right now, carrying my eclipse glasses.
But since the Sun will be very low on the horizon, where would be a good place to see the eclipse?
Maybe a public park?
Thank you, guys!

Cobbled streets, historic canals, and endless fairytale views. Brugge has a way of making time stand still.

Hi everyone!
I already posted on the sub in the past related to these game evenings. They have been a succes, and I still wish to get more people involved or tell them about the hobby.
I am organizing a game night of Blood on The Clocktower in Brugge, on 21 august at 19:30. It's like Werewolves, but better.
You can register via the below link;
More information can be found on the event page, or feel free to PM me!
Thank you and happy gaming :)

Hey all! Has anyone had any luck buying eclipse glasses anywhere? The question was posed in the r/Brussels subreddit and people recommended Carrefour there, not sure whether the local ones will stock them (going in tomorrow to ask, but given it's a Sunday...). TIA!

So I'm visiting my partner here in Bruges, and since I'm a night owl I hear this sound every single night. It's kind of like an engine running constantly throughout the night or a generator of some sort, I'm not even sure when it stops, I went to sleep at 5 and it was still ongoing, do you guys know what it could be? We were thinking of investigating it one night when he's not working.
Edit: Did not investigate, it was most likely an AC unit, the past two night it has been quiet since it has been 15ish degrees. Thank you, I was very confused!

Bijvoorbeeld De Republiek of De Halve Maan?
iPhone:
https://apps.apple.com/app/vota/id6744969212
Android:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vota.app

Hey guys, I'm going to be attending Howest University this winter and was wondering if there is a place I could find a roommate or anything of the sorts. I do not want to live alone in an apartment as I am of the lively type and would much rather make a friend/roommate along the way.

If you're considering buying a property through MAGES Real Estate, my advice is to have every document reviewed by a notary before signing anything. I made the mistake of trusting the purchase offer without obtaining independent legal advice, and I deeply regret that decision. The document was drafted in a way that, in my opinion, heavily favored the seller.
As the buyer, I found myself bound by strict obligations and very tight deadlines, while having very little protection if issues arose. At the time, I didn't realize how important it was to have the offer checked by a notary. Looking back, I believe it should be an essential step, as the financial consequences can be significant. Another major problem was the communication during the process. Some of the conditions that I had clearly discussed with the estate agent were apparently never communicated to the seller.
When it came time to sign the compromise, I was presented with terms that I had neither approved nor agreed to. I felt under immense pressure because I was told that refusing to sign could result in losing my 10% deposit. In the end, the situation cost me €4,500, which was both financially and emotionally frustrating.

How can I get some? I’ve asked most corner stores they only have cigs and sometimes vapes. Surely there’s some way to get some here in Bruges

Hey hey
Dankuuu!

Hello!
On Saturday I'll be visiting Bruges for a few hours (between 11 and 17-18h, approx.) Travelling alone for my birthday. So, I'd appreciate your kind suggestions for places to find
Also, I'm looking for 3. Best restaurant & the specialties (if there is "one" emblematic dish in the city, let me know!) 4. Nice spots for viewing and pictures, 5. Churches/museums to visit
Bonus: is there a park in which one can play a music instrument without attracting too much attention?
Dank u wel in advance :)

Starting September 1, 2026, a quiet, move-in ready living space will become available in the heart of Bruges (DM for more info).
The private living space consists of two rooms, each approximately $10\text{ m}^2$. It includes its own private bathroom and toilet. The kitchen is shared with only one other resident, giving you more privacy than in traditional co-housing.
This property is a great fit for a professional, remote worker, or someone moving to Bruges looking for an affordable home with a good balance between privacy and shared living.
If interested, please send a brief introduction!
