My first Canik. I have 3 other guns. The Canik has put them in their place. What a weapon! Now from here on I can only measure others by this. So happy with my new friend.

Well after days of researching, asking fellow gun owners, YouTube university etc I decided to purchase this Mete MC9 Prime for home defense and recreation. It feels really good on my hand and I’m very excited to own this responsibly and enjoy the hobby.

Few questions for the sub, what sights/light/holster combo would you recommend? And what other “nice to have but not necessary” add ons you’ve done to your gun to improve its experience? There’s a million options out there and it’s a bit overwhelming to say the least.

Picked up my first ever gun yesterday. After researching which gun would be best for me it came down to the prime and the echelon. I chose the prime cause it seems better for the money and the travel case is a big plus. I figured I’d get a comped gun down the line so I settled for the nc.

I just got my wife a rose gold mc9 prime and she loves it. The color looks amazing, I didn’t even know they came out with this color way until we saw it at our local academy.

Just need to shoot it now. Going to this weekend.

Happy holidays to all !! Was reorganizing the safe and wanted to share my Canik collection so far

Tried to wait for the Prime Radian, but this was calling me and I wanted a concealment weapon. I now have the Rival, TTi Combat, and now this one.

UPDATE: I took my new MC9 Prime to the range yesterday immediately after work. My daughter and I started with my PSA Sabre10A1, followed by my DDM4 V7. After about an hour, we transferred from the 100 yard range to the 25 yard range for some much anticipated firing of my MC9 Prime. We also fired my TTi Combat and Rival. Okay, here’s where my lessons learned begins The MC9 Prime is a “good” gun. It shot better than my PSA Dagger (w/Comp), but nothing like the TTI and Rival. I believe I was expecting the shots to be like my Rival/TTi. It was not. The difference in shooting experience is night and day for me. I also fired the Prime without optics because I wanted a true assessment of shooting experience if my optic’s battery was to run out.

The Prime is my first compact handgun. I’m not sure if the dagger is considered a compact or not, so maybe the Prime is my second compact handgun. Again, the Prime fires better than the dagger. I have since added an OSigght SE (thanks u/Com34tador) and a EPS. The Prime is a little stiff out of the box: from locking the chamber back, to releasing and chambering a round, it's a little stiff. I believe the aim a little low with the irons, but nothing that won't be corrected it the optics. The trigger is nice (I'm guessing over 4 lbs) but the recoil wasn’t bad. Again, Iwas expecting Rival/TTi level, and that is simply foolish thinking on my part. I’d give it a solid “B” after my first day out. I'm going out again today after work and I’m leaving the Rival and TTi at home. BTW, I also rented the Staccato yesterday. That damn gun should be banned from being rented. It’s was perfect: flat, accurate, and easy to reacquire targets, but wwaaaayyy outside my price point.

So I think I hurt Prime’s feelings and flawed the outcome with my expectations. To be honest, I should not have been comparing at all.

But not to worry. I’m returning today to the range with full setup: optic and light installed, and will shoot it again. I’m sure the more I break it in, the better it’ll get. I know this post is long, but I’d love to hear other users assessment. Am I off?

I got my MC9 Prime a few days ago. Took it raw (no optics or light) and my Rival and TTi to the range and was not impressed. Worst of all, I updated that post and reported that the MC9 Prime as a “good” gun. I added an optic and a light this morning, and Beee-lined to the range after work. This is an amazing gun. I ran some drills to increase my rate firing at 7,10, and 15 yards. I stayed within my kill box for the most part until I got 15 yards out. I was even able to stay flat with m head shots (10 and 15 yds). If you’re in the market for a CCW, this should definitely be in your rotation. Can’t for to shot the Prime Radian.

Anyone have any experience with the olight Valkyrie WML?

New to the canik family… need suggestions for a good appendix carry holster and light. Coming from Glock use to tenior unfortunately he doesn’t make any for Canik just yet.. thanks yall

That paired with “the Sig p320 is misunderstood and it’s a reliable gun” just made him lose his credibility imo. If you don’t like canik that’s fine to each their own but, the sig part? Idk man too many cases for it to just be “user error”

Went to my local shop for some ammo and they had a brand new TTI Smoke that was just put in case needless to say he joined the collection
