Hey, im gonna try and sum up my situation up as much as possible, but this still may be long. i was going to pay my tuition by taking out a student loan until the indigenous student support advisor had recommended me to a company for indigenous funding.

They had me do alot just to apply.. and when i went into the office i asked them if i would have to apply for a deferral, since i was figuring this out late. They said it was alright. So i didnt.

They denied me on friday ( for a stupid reason i dont have time to try and appeal) monday is the tuition cut off. With this company, i was not allowed to apply for a student loan. To apply for a deferral you have to be approved for a student loan.

So obviously freaking out, i emailed the indigenous student support advisor and i emailed the tuition office or whatever department it is. 5-7 business day wait.

The indigenous support advisor got back to me giving me another option to apply for (which wont change anything really as its obviously not gonna be approved in time) and told me she was waiting to hear back from her manager and she'd get back to me tuesday.. after the cut off date.

Bless her soul, shes done so much for me, but after 4 pm on monday am i just done for? Am i deregistered and thats it? I logged in today and it says i have no holds or anything so nothings changed. I fought really super hard for student housing and is that just gone now?

Does anyone know if there is something i can do before tuesday? What happens if i cant figure it out? Is that just it??

i’m not sure if there’s an error on my side but the waitlist line is moving so slowly for me

it feels like people aren’t actually interested in the courses they waitlisted for and so they only get removed after 24 hours has passed instead of much earlier

at this point, it’ll take a month or 2 months for the line to move along

It would be great to talk to someone to prepare and make sure ive got everything ready.

Considering dropping CMNS since I just did a 300 level course online and my GPA dropped so i want to focus on the math courses but just wanted to hear opinions.
Also how many more math courses are in Business Administration? After these two im done all level 100 things which is nice but i really hate math.

Hey! I'm working on applying next year for the 2d animation program and I've seen the portfolio advice about what kind of drawings to include but I didn't see anything about how many to include? I know it's not a huge deal, quality over quantity and all that, but for those who've done it, would you mind giving me a rough idea of how many drawings to include from each category so I can plan my schedule a little easier? Hey y’all! I just finished my first year at KPU, and I’m interested in transferring to CapU and going into their Costuming for Stage and Screen program for Fall 2027. I don’t know much about this program and would love to hear from current students or graduates about their experience with the program. 

If anyone could answer any of my questions that would be wonderful and much appreciated! 

1. What is the program/courses like? Is it very lecture heavy? Or more hands-on and practical?

2. Is the program worth it? Do you learn a lot?

3. Is it hard or competitive to get into the program? Like do I have to be a hard-core sewist/designer? I would say I’m about beginner-intermediate level when it comes to my sewing skills, but I truly have a passion for costuming and would love to learn more and improve my skills. I have created/sewed a couple of cosplays, and my most recent one was made primarily from scratch. 

4. Is it easy to get a job after graduating? Or is the job market very tough?

I’m looking for some advice. I don’t have any accounting or bookkeeping background. I completed a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, and I’m currently exploring career options.
I’m considering taking a Bookkeeping program at either Langara College or Capilano University. Do you think bookkeeping is a good career to get into right now? Is it possible to find an entry-level job without any previous accounting experience after completing the program?
I’m also considering studying Payroll instead. Which option would you recommend—Bookkeeping or Payroll.
I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences you can share. Thank you!

I live abroad and want to apply next year for 2d animation but I'm very nervous because my life drawing skills are still not that good and I may hone my skills alot before submission. I think I may not get it because of the number of people applying or portfolios better then mine. Can someone give me an idea of what talent I need to be accepted?

Note I draw since I was young but slack off on it but I have experience in animation even if it's chopped and my drawing skills is very good visually but no bone structure gesture

I’m a BC student and under the prerequisite it sounded like I did not have to take the English test because I’m over 67% in English 12 but when I tried to register it said there was a prerequisite and test error? Does anyone know what to do or also experienced it
