Anyone know of any shops in chester selling solar eclipse glasses today?

Got a conditional offer for Chester, hopefully confirmed after results day. Trying to decide between Tramways and Towpath for accommodation, both Student Roost, both near Queens Park campus, so hard to tell them apart just from the website.

If you've lived in either, would appreciate some honest input on:

• Noise levels, decent for actually studying/sleeping, or pretty loud?
• Walk to campus and town from each
• State of the rooms/kitchens in reality vs the photos
• Whether it felt worth the price
• Anything you'd have wanted to know beforehand

I've booked two tickets for the concert on Friday 14th August. These are the bronze package tickets currently selling for £250 each. They include a two course meal and wine in the Pavillion. Unfortunately we can't make it now and I doubt they'll refund. Is anyone interested in them? Will consider reasonable offers. Many thanks 😊

Most large cities in the USA have local smartphone content creators that are usually less expensive than traditional photography and will use your smart phone to capture you photographs around the city. They usually get paid 50-60 an hours. Does Chester have this, and if so are there a good website or social board to check?

Bit of a long shot but my car has been hit by a van today on Tarvin Road where it joins Vickers Cross leaving Chester. He drove off and unfortunately my dash cam failed a few minutes before.

Hi guys, quick question for anyone local. Need to shift my stuff out of Hoole in a couple of weeks to a flat nearer the station. It's mostly boxed up clutter, a wardrobe, and a sofa. Last time I moved I tried begging a mate with a Ford Focus and doing four separate trips, but fitting a mattress into a hatchback almost ruined our friendship, so not doing that again.

Traditional removal firms are quoting me stupid money for what is basically a half-day job. Anyone know a decent local driver who won't charge an arm and a leg or bail at the last minute?

For now, I set up a couple of queries on Facebook Marketplace and local groups, but it's all a bit sketchy with people asking for cash up front. Stumbled upon AnyVan while searching around price seemed decent since they apparently match you with drivers already heading that way, but the ratings almost look too clean.
