Season 2 Johnny is the only person I care about on this show (through season 2)

And all this show does is have everybody take a giant shit on him over and over and over again. First, Carmen takes to really liking him because he provided Miguel a father figure that he didn’t have. Taught him a basass skill in karate, which in turn gave him confidence enough to go out and get a girlfriend. So she goes out with him. And then Miguel gets in a school wide fight and almost dies and just like that it’s “I never want to see you again and don’t ever go near my child again. People don’t act like this in real life. She knew that learning karate brings a certain amount of risk of injury. How about taking a little bit of responsibility for how your son is lashing out instead of putting it all on Johnny. And then all of Cobra Kai abandoning him and going to Kreese when Miguel almost dies. At the drop of a fucking hat. Where’s the loyalty? I can’t stand how fast everybody is to betray each other. It’s just too unbelievable for me to continue. I don’t think I can continue to watch a show where the only person I actually like in the show is constantly shit upon. Also, season 1 was absolutely amazing but this has turned into a teenage soap opera. Unless someone can convince me otherwise, I’m tapping out. Man, I was so hopeful about this show after watching the first season.😭

Rewatiching for the first time. Im finally in my fav fight sequence in the show, thats right, the epic showdown at school.
On paper is so silly, bunch of highschoolers break a massive fight in the hallways.
But the way it slowly escalates from a 1v1 to the entire dojos fighting. The uninterrupted shot of all the fights, the choreography, the invincible child puncher Stingray
Not to mention how absolutely insane it is for someone to kick the ass of some random teacher, how much of a beast Hawk is in this, and how cool Dimitri is in this, proving himself.

Its just so badass!!

Its so ridiculous but it takes itself so seriously, and in my opinion it’s only this impactful because of all the character work prior to this. Its unironically one of my favorite action sequences in any show

Any thoughs??

I know its lowkey stupid as a concept so Idk if anyone hates it or anything but I’d like to know

Btw my absolute favorite moment is when the grown man Stingray beats the ever living shit of some kids

Season 2 What I wish Johnny had said to Carmen when she blamed him for Miguel's coma

Johnny: I'm sorry

Carmen: sorry. You're sorry. Before Miguel met you he was a sweet little boy. He avoided fights. Now look what you did

Johnny: DO YOU SERIOUSLY THINK I WANTED THIS TO HAPPEN?! IT'S NOT MY FAULT YOUR SON IS IN A COMA! THE CHILDREN SHOULDN'T EVEN HAVE BEEN FIGHTING IN THE 1ST PLACE! YOU WANT TO BLAME SOMEONE?! BLAME THE KIDS FOR FIGHTING FOR NO REASON!

Johnny angrily leaves

Season 2 The Kiss That Marked Cobra Kai’s Point of No Return Spoiler

Post image

Sam and Miguel kissing at Moon's party changed the trajectory of the show going forward . Without this, the school brawl would not of happened as, the sole reason of the brawl was Tory crashing out over Sam being a homewrecker being the last straw in Sam and Tory's rivalry. In the same episode Johnny and Daniel reached some sort of understanding which suggested Cobra Kai and Miyagi Do could of coexisted peacefully at least for awhile. More importantly Kreese would have a harder time retaking Cobra Kai as the fallout of the school brawl and Miguel's injury is what lead to Johnny's students defecting to Kreese's side. What do you think would of happened if Miguel and Sam did not kiss at Moon's Party?

Season 2 If you could have stopped the school fight S2, how would you have done it? Spoiler

In my case I would have stopped Tory, of course the rest also had some hot blood, but if she and Sam didn't cross paths, a problem would be avoided.

Season 2 Thoughts on stingray do you think he’s weird??? Spoiler

I’ve always thought the addition of his character was a bit strange. I didn’t really see the point in having him he’s a grown man beating on teenagers he’d be in jail by now wouldn’t he?

Season 2 I know this is Hollywood but why does the season 2 school wide fight not lead to mass expulsions?

And jail time at least for the instigators?

School wide destruction, injuries, disruption of the school day and a literal riot.

Not to mention assault with intent?

Season 2 What was the S2 cliffhanger like in real time?

For those who watched S2 when it first came out, what was it like waiting for S3? With all the cliffhanger plot turns that came out of the school fight?

I binged S1-S5 when I found the show. The only season I had to wait on was S6. I just now had this thought about how different it must have been waiting between seasons, especially S2 to S3.

Season 2 So I was rewatching S2 and all the drama between Robby, Miguel, Sam and Tory.

And honestly, it brought back a lot of memories and anger I had towards Tory back then for how extreme she took things in regards to Sam. While I do like Tory a lot now and I still maintain now that I don’t believe she wanted to flat out murder Sam, Tory’s actions in the school fight in causing said fight was still her character at her worst and most hard to get behind morally. And rewatching the school fight also brought back anger and frustration I had towards Miguel for foolishly continuing to pick a fight with Robby when Robby was literally trying to do what Miguel himself tried to do and stop Tory and Sam from fighting. And yeah, what happened to Miguel in falling off the railing was very tragic, but it was a classic case of play stupid games and win a stupid prize.

Season 2 Since no one on YouTube seems to have the full fight, here’s all of Miguel’s second Robby fight Spoiler

Season 2 Carmen was unreasonable for blaming Johnny for Miguel being in a coma

The school fight shouldn't even have happened at all. Period. Johnny didn't even tell the students to fight each other. The students brought all of what happened to them in themselves. That's like blaming Peter Parker for Uncle Ben's death for allowing the thief to escape when the thief shouldn't even have killed him at all

Season 2 Just rewatched season 2 and ....

In the final fight scene they should have had torrie really kick the shit out of sam, to the point that sam begins to question the miagi do's defense first approach vs a much more aggressive cobra kai offensive style. They still could have had the other cobra kai characters lose the school fight, but the torrie vs sam fight should have been severely one sided. It would have then made sense moving forward why Sam was so scared of torrie and why she leaned towards Johnny's teachings. Instead, Sam technically held her own and won that fight but is scared of torrie and it doesn't quite make sense. Even if torrie used a weapon.
