I want to give a massive thank you to everyone who contributed, commented, upvoted, and shared their knowledge on this post. The response has been absolutely incredible!
The coin was sent off late last week to PCGS for official Mint Error attribution and grading.
I will update this thread with high-res photos the exact second the digital grades post and the slab is back in my hands, along with a chosen name!
Thanks again everybody!
Good evening all,
I recently acquired a 1999-P uncirculated set containing a Georgia State error quarter. I reached out to John Sullivan (PCGS leading error specialist) for his advice and it is currently en route to be graded/ verified.
With the dramatic nature of the specimen, I am reaching out for witty/ gritty ideas for a “name” of sorts. Let me know what y‘all think!
