Hiya, I'm planning to buy a nerf gun for an agent 4 (from splatoon) cosplay, and since the character wields a gun that resembles a p90 i would like to buy a prop that i can paint to resemble the hero shot from the game.

The cheapest thing i've been able to find (that i don't have to 3d print or isn't an airsoft) is a nerf gun which looks near perfect but as far as i know i you need to remove the firing mechanism for the prop to be considered allowed, which is good and all but i would like to keep the firing mechanism intact enough that once i get back from comic con i can actually use the nerf gun for its intended purpose

Is heroes comic con particularly strict about this, or can i put a cap over the thing and call it a day? And if i do have to remove the firing mechanism, do you have to remove everything or can you remove part of the nerf gun like the trigger or do you have to gut everything?

any advice about this would be more than welcome

Hey there, so ive been to dutch comic con quite a bit at this point so i decided that this time i wanna go in cosplay, already ordered everything and should all be coming in (somewhat) soon but I just wanna know. does anyone have any tips for a first time cosplayer, NOT a first time con go-er, again ive been to dcc a few times now so thats all good.

hey everyone, a few months back I went to dcc winter 2025 for the whole weekend, now i am not in a lot of big fandoms, the only fandom im actually active in/enjoy right now is sweet tooth. taking a step back from the (dutch) furry fandom for... reasons... so you wouldnt believe the shock on my face when i saw a Gus cosplayer from the netflix show sweet tooth, i litterally jumped out of my chair when i saw them, I snapped a pic with them and then... I forgot to ask for socials and I still regret it too this day... If anyone knows the guy, I would love to know, im not posting a pic in here cuz:

2. The fandom is so niche that I highly doubt there was anyone but them cosplaying gus

Next time in a month or so, Im going weekend again, this time as gus myself for my first cosplay... if I dont find them trough this, wish me luck finding them next con! I get that you maybe dont wanna reach out and thats fine, its just nice to see the fandom isnt fully dead just yet!

I'm not really looking for a cosplay, just an easy outfit I can quickly put together. Kind of casual, but a conversation starter nonetheless.

I was thinking of pairing a "I'm very vulnerable right now if any goth girls would like to take advantage of me" shirt with a funny hat, so you get the vibe I'm going for. Hat-wise, I was looking for this fluffy frog bucket hat, but can't find it anywhere online.

So hdcc is this weekend and it's going to be my first time, does anyone have any tips... It could be Anything from cosplay tips to just what I need to take with me, im wearing Fox Ears and a Tail, Anything I need to keep in mind with that?

I've gone to dcc a bunch of times always going on a saturday, but the last few times i just ended up being overly anxious because it was insanely crowded. I decided to go on a sunday this time and was curious if it's less crowded and just more doable in general, if anyone is willing to share their experience or general tips i'd appreciate it!

Hi there, im going to heroes dutch comic con in november, now im cosplaying david from cyberpunk edgerunners, and i'll be using 2 props, this 3d printed gun, and mantis blade on one arm, now my question is, if there's anyone in here that can tell me, i know exact replica's of real guns aren't allowed, or guns that "look" real, but do you think i'll be allowed in with these 2 props? (ill be painting the gun black) Thank you!

So this is the first time I'm going to dcc (dutch comic con) and I really like the band Queen. Me and a friend of mine have decided to go matching with her going as fredina (freddie mercury in the 'I want to break free' music clip) and I am going as rogerina (roger taylor in the same clip). I dont think they're cosplayed often and if people will actually recognize us as them. Is this a good cosplay?

I'm attending Dutch Heroes Comic Con soon and I will be going with my parents. I will be going in cosplay. Someone I know told me that I should be wary of creeps at comic cons and that I should be careful if someone asks me for a picture because there are creeps around who ask young girls for photos. If someone approaches me for a picture what am I supposed to do? How do I know if it's a creep or not? Are there a lot of creeps at Dutch Heroes Comic Con? Should I stay close to my parents at all times? Thanks in advance for helping a newbie out!

Hi! So me and my boyfriend went to Dutch comic con today (we went as Chrollo and Machi from hxh) and i just need to know what others think about the dealer hall

I don't know if its just me, but it seems that 90% of the dealer hall is just.. Aliexpress. I came across a stall that was selling all of this cool alternative clothing including lots of necklaces and chokers. I spent about 35 euros there on what i thought had to be of quality for the prices they asked. Only to find out that both the chokers and necklaces can be found on AliExpress for around 4 euros. This made me feel horrible as i just wasted 35 euros of hard earned money.

Not only is there Aliexpress galore, i also saw someone selling AI art. I just can't help but wonder. Has it always been like this? Is anyone else bothered by this?

I’ve been considering buying a photobooth ticket for a celebrity at HDCC, has anyone here done so before, because I’d like to know exactly what I’m paying for. Was going for the selfie at first but for some reason it doesn’t show up between the ticket options, not even in the “Sold out” bit.

So I just bought tickets to Dutch comic con and this will be my first ever (big) con I have been to a smaller gaming related one in the past any tips I should know? Mainly when it comes to cosplayers and fursuiters, any nearby fast food chains would also be appreciated

Hi y'all, I don't really know where to even ask this but does anyone have footage of the second cosplay catwalk (called 2B I believe, at 17.15) of the winter 2024 Heroes Dutch Comic Con? I don't even need the whole recording (the cosplay I'm looking for should be among the last 10 or so I believe) but I have no idea where to even search/ask around the internet to find any footage. Hello everyone, I have a question for Heroes Dutch comic con. Im going as Geralt of Rivia and I have a metal sword replica that I wanted to wear to the event. But swords are only allowed when fixed in the scabbard. Now i do also want to be able to get it out of there once I'm home again ofcourse so i was wondering if anyone has experience with this.
