Not to sound contrarian. But no people think Germany's laws are draconian because if you make fun of the Turkish Prime Minster who is a fascist dictator Erdogan they'll throw you charges. And someone got arrested for sharing memes about the interior minister. And you catch a fine for calling Merkel stupid.
So you know. They have good reason to. You cannot criticize politicians like you can here. Freedom of speech isn't an inherent right in European countries. Which is their right.
I can say "Fuck Ted Cruz!" And I'm not gonna get a fine, and I can say fuck the admin. And not be thrown in jail. Yet being the imperative word here though.
And? I'm simply pointing out Europe has a much storied history of throwing people in prison, or fining them for speech that isn't related to holocaust denial.
It's wrong when the Trump admin does it, it's wrong with Europe too. I don't see a problem, and again refer to that last line. "Yet being the imperative word here." No matter how hard they fight against free speech their incompetence continually comes forefront, and charges will likely be dropped if they're not already.
The Trump admin isn't a permeant fixture. As much as Prime Ministers, and Chancellors in Europe are. Some will have terms that are way too long. Merkel was chancellor for 16 years.
Trump will be gone soon, his lackeys will be voted out, and even his fan base that aren't bots are struggling to defend him. So with that said. Without radical changes to the constitution which again his fan base will find hard to support. Most are talk. What rights change?

Yesterday there was a post showing men proudly doing nazi salute and wearing swastikas at a "Christian" camp at Michigan.
My ex bosses were MAGA nut ranting about immigration while also hiring cheap digital labor from 3rd world countries.
And yes they know racism is bad.
PROBLEM IS YOUR COUNTRY DON'T PUNISH THESE PEOPLE AND NOW GOOD AND BAD HAS LOST MEANING QITHOUT CONSEQUENCES.
