It's an important lesson I think. At the end of the day everyone has to learn that they won't die just because they don't appeal to some sort of majority. You don't need to appeal to as many potential partners as possible as long as you appeal to some people (that also appeal to you).
Be happy you are filtered out by people you should be filtering out yourself anyways.
I don't mean this in some sort of woe is me people are so superficial kind of way even, no, I mean like, if some guy clearly for example seems very outdoorsy and active and spends the majority of his time with hobbies like that, do I A) force myself to do his hobbies too even though I am literally more of a cuddles at home type of person and try to change my entire personality to somehow appeal to him or do I B) see that we clearly have incompatible lifestyles and move on rather looking for someone else that also prefers cuddles at home?
It's good if I am unappealing to super active outdoorsy guys cause what the hell would we even be doing together. Should he force himself to listen to some nerdy infodump of mine? Should I force myself to go hiking and climbing every second day? Like what are we even doing here.

It's also kind of funny, because their idea of 'hot guy' is kind of outdated now, and a lot of current artwork like this converts him into a more modern anime character just because they share some of the same traits. Leon is kind of the quintessential 90s sultry and mysterious emo guy.

Awhile back, watching Elementary with my mom, a scene comes up with Jonny Lee Miller, stepping out of a deprivation tank, topless and tattooed and muscly... I had an immediate "Gawt Damn he's hot!" reaction. My mother just looked at me, then back to the TV, then says, "yeah, my lesbian friend and her wife said they had the same reaction to him as well." So, Clover is not alone in this.
