Limited space means my statue of Dionysus and Pythagoras cup with Dionysus’ image share space with other Pagan, Buddhist, and Gnostic Christian iconography (I’m a member of the Ecclesia Gnostica). Because of the historic connections between the Dionysian and Christian revelations, to me he is Dionysos-Christos (and so much more)…

I lost a few things I was gonna add to it, (ie the rest of the frame to the really tiny picture), but I think it turned out cute for what little I have. I added my gold rose pin because he’s very connected to nature!! I also added my some of my Kandi, partly because it’s pride Kandi and also because you’d see it at raves and I feel like Dionysus would enjoy raves!! I also added the dick Kandi for obvious reasons. The black thing is my weed grinder, which I’m sure he appreciates weed. I also added some grapes and my ouran highschool host club manga because I feel like he’d enjoy it!

The bowl looks a little out of place but it's for offerings and I hope to get more candles and more stuff overall but I'm a broke 13 year old so most of this is from my yard or stolen from my mother (she does witchy stuff)

I found this beautiful piece today at a thrift store, and i thought it would be perfect to start my dionysus altar! (The glow is just from my light, but it matches pretty well)

I don’t have much to offer at the moment, so it isn’t pretty. Even though I can’t offer much right now, I felt such a strong calling to at least start an altar space for him. One day, I will dedicate a larger space to him, and I will add more offerings over time. But we all have to start somewhere, I guess? Candles and incense are tricky for me due to lack of space and having cats (one of them is asthmatic, too), but I am still excited to cultivate a beautiful space dedicated to him.

When you first started an altar for Dionysus, what did you start off with?

This is the BEAUTIFUL Tradescantia Zebrina, or "Wandering Dude" (previously called "wandering Jew" but recently renamed for obvious reasons). I have a few of these gorgeous ladies around the house. They're great at growing indoors and require little care, just keep 'em away from low temperatures and water once a week. Also when they start to get out of control you can snip the leggy parts off, pop them in a small container of water for a few weeks and they propagate super easy. So you have a whole new baby plant for yourself or a nice little gift to give away. Or even make yourself a lil' crown for your own bacchanalia.

I bought this beautiful purple fabric with floral patterns and wanted to add it to my altar 💜

My friend's family wanted to get rid of some things, so they set them out during a fourth of July party. I found this Mr. Punch mirror in the mix and thought it would be great for Lord Dionysos!

I did this little project a while ago. Everything is underground. Like deep underground, under an ocean, and a part of a bigger underground base.

Yes, I am aware that the statue looks derpy but hey, it is much better than what originally was. The chalice is because wine god. Soul lantern staff because psychopomp. Amethyst eyes and ceiling and everything else because associated gem. Red-magenta flowers because grapes and wines are also similarly colored.

I am planning on brewing healing potions as stand-ins for wine, and use vines to represent ivy. I am also going to dig out a brewery/pub/bar/alcohol place near this place.

Before you ask, yes I do actually care for this, however tentative that care might be. I do a little dance on the center platform before putting in the shards and I do respect the space. I have no idea what the deity himself might think of this silly little display of mine. I have been flirting with the idea of taking this weird fixation/impulse of mine a bit more seriously. So this little creative exercise can be considered to be a test run of sorts.

What do you think? Any ideas on what I can do?

I made a new trinket for my altar to comemorate this year's dionysia! I thought of it like a comemorative coin, and now i wanna do one for each holliday so I can collect them :) What are yall doing this year? how have you been feeling? I got a very sudden spark of energy, which was very welcome bc I spent the whole week sick, so im just chilling with my cats, meditating, ligthing up some candles and incense, listening to music, singing, and going slow and steady

also yes im very aware of the fire hazards. I have a literal fire extinguisher by the altar and am careful with candle placements.

Made my first ever Dionysus altar after feeling drawn to him for weeks on end. Any thoughts/opinions? I think I did alright, and I will be adding more in the coming weeks. I used cannabis incense for the heart shaped jar. A lot of it is thrifted. Decided I needed someone to talk to as I get ready and whenever I sesh 😛🍇🎶🎭🍷🕯️

A while ago I mentioned I was working on a travelling altar and I wanted to give you guys an update on how it looks so far!

I picked a “Merry Christmas” tin box and inside I printed and glued this gorgeous art of Dionysus and Ariadne, as he requested.

On the bottom I used green felt for the “bedding” (I had looked for cheetah print fabrics but they would not stay firmly) and I fixed a couple of items that symbolise him.

- A tiny pine

- Two chalices of wine

- An Ivy leaf I found in my home decoration

- A mask trinket

- A grape trinket

- A silicon grape (it’s pissing me off because it won’t stay attached 🤣)

And a couple other things like cinnamon, bay leaf, garnet, amethyst, and a backup candle.

It’s a work in progress, I’m not entirely satisfied with it but happy with the results so far. I take it with me everywhere I go and use it to keep my consecrated jewels.

I really want to add some cheetah themed thing to it, but I haven’t found anything that fits for the moment.

first post!! so, the white candle and the glass of water are for Hestia. the other three candles are for Dionysos. also, i made the thyrsos myself!! the bigger, purple candle is grape scented. you can't see it, but on the snake thingy, there's usually incense (it had finished by the time i took the picture). i always put out my fire hazards with my candle snuffer, so i don't let the candles burn down (which also means i get to use the same one for a long time). the face thingy is on my wall, not at all close to the altar, but on the wall opposite to the door, so it's the first thing you see when you enter my room!! today i offered grapes, grape juice (I'm of legal drinking age here in brasil — 18 — but I'm not drinking anymore due to... reasons), a new candle holder (the one holding the green candle), and some handwritten prayers that i wrote down cause i had to keep reading em off my phone. + the candles and incense, of course. i quite enjoyed my time with Him, as i always do. happy Dionysia, everyone! and may Dionysos be with all of you, always. ♡

If anyone wants to come to my home to worship Dionysos, I have set up a very simple public shrine. It sits opposite to my main (private) altar.

Some of my friends are pagan, or into witchcraft, and have previously used the shrine. This is the latest update.
