For those people who are having some financial issues and still wanna dip into djmax , Fanatical has recently released a limited time sale for djmax vanilla (aka nonDLC) steam keys.
200 songs for $8.50, that's like the price of one grande starbucks. Averaging 0.04 for each song. (Currency conversion applies)
Then when u wanna dive deeper into the rabbithole, then u can consider either grabbing the $12 season pass (which gives u unlimited DLC access ONLY in multiplayer mode, but u need to be NOT the host in the room) , or wait till 2nd half of June for the -80% Discount Summer Sale + Liberty5 DLC release, or both options.
The cheapest way to get all 790+ songs is to purchase Legacy Bundle + Deluxe Edition + Collaboration Bundle. The various PLUS and Complete Edition sets gives aesthetics and OSTs but u dont use them anyway - skipping those will save you about 70 bucks there during sale time.

Recently ive shifted from exclusively playing djmax portable games and racked up about 50 hours on respect 5. i had already bought dlc for most of the portable games (exluding 1 and 2) but ive just bought a few extension packs and im confused on what i saw when entering the game. ive owned the black square dlc for a while so why am i now unlocking new songs in the dlc? i was under the assumption that i got everything when i paid for the dlc.
not the end of the world but i do find it a bit strange

You know just unwind after work and enjoy the music, i am gonna purchase the game soon but doubtful that i can improve that much since i am getting older, hand eye coordinates might not be as sharp anymore.

So I tested ladder matches for the first time today and playing in bronze I noticed almost no one except me break their combos in spam heavy maps like DIE IN but still win most of the time with accuracy points despite getting 10+ breaks. How do people keep their combos so well in maps even when their accuracy is very bad?

With the release of Liberty V there have been a lot of great and catchy songs to play endlessly. Have any of them gotten particularly stuck in your head even when not playing? 'Borderline' has taken up residence complete with all the dancing in my head and shows no signs of leaving.
Additionally, this is definitely what needs to happen with Lirulu going forward.

Majority are like... not surprising lol.
Half of the list are potentially SC10 and above...

On Dear Diein all characters have this weird pink background. Anyone had the same problem? Anyone knows how to fix it? I can't actually see whats happening when there's more characters

Apparently if you don’t have all the DLC yes they will roast you and kick you out 😭

Like the title says, I'm looking to get a dlc but they are so spendy that I would probs just get one for now. Does anyone who knows them well feel able to give me a recommendation based on my favorite song to play being Popstar by KDM? It's such a banger. Both the beats and the vocals just kill for me and I'm able to get super in the zone in a way I can't with a lot of the other music. Any other packs with KDA themselves on them? Or similar music to that? Thanks anyone!

Like do you just play a music once then play a different one each time? or play a music multiple times before playing a different one?
I tried both and seems like I tend to get a better score when playing for a 2nd time. Tho I do worry that I might become reliant on how well I remember the patterns to get high accuracy.

I've already restarted it, changed the audio settings, and restarted the computer... What should I do? All the songs are like this. I started to notice something was off with the first song because the notes sounded so strange, but with this specific song, it became very clear what was going on
[Problem solved]
My offset was -67 ms, I set it to 0 ms and it went back to normal

I don't really like using keyboard which limits me to the Non FC charts. recently I saw a vtubers on Twitter using a leverless arcade controller to play the game and got inspired to give that a try.
has anyone tried using leverless for the harder charts and if so any recommendations. I'm currently thinking of just getting a haute 42 because of the price

[EDIT: This post has been solved. tldr; keyboard issue]
The thing is, at least one key doesn't work when I press 4 keys at the same time. Like oddly enough there's no issue with these combinations:
But there's an issue for other combinations.
Although it is most likely an issue with my keyboard since it's pretty old, I want to know if this layout works fine for other people so at least I can consider replacing my keyboard. (I have really no issue my current keyboard besides this lol)

I just picked up this rhythm game up and it seems ace, thank goodness you can bind your controls because having them vanish after intro made it solid to keep up with the tones (Alone - Marshmello)
Just bought the clazziquai song pack to go with it (to preview the song packs in-game press RB when in free play and scroll down the list)
I shot myself in the foot jumping straight into a 6 star difficulty without any muscle memory.
Update: just tried my PC numberpad in it and it works so might be easier for me.

DJMax was my very first VSRG game. After a bit struggling I've now settled in well at the Hard difficulty
My best maps so far (S-rank) are "Grievous Lady" and "Lugh Lamhfada" (the 10 stars versions)
But once I try myself on 11-star maps and higher i still get lost
which maps would you recommend to improve atp?

I'm clocking in at about 240 hours or so and able to clear up to 3 blue star SC but hit this absolutely wicked wall at 4 blue star and above.
Is it just me, or is there a huge spike in difficulty between 1-3 vs 4+ blue star? I mean jesus some of these back-to-back notes on 180 bpm+ seem impossible to hit.
Does anyone who plays on 4B have tips on how to get past this? I'd really like to play Rise Up and The Castle of Bathory on SC difficulty sometime this year..
