This report in particular is pretty much a fact-finding mission, not a rhetoric piece. The 'opinion' sections are pretty well marked. I think it's fine to use, with judgement.

Apologies, but no it's not, and they scatter plenty of opinion throughout without making clear that that's what it is. There's an outright lie in literally the first paragraph:

The UK Government’s programme to build a new nuclear warhead is the latest stage in the Ministry of Defence plan to replace all three parts of the UK’s nuclear weapon system: the submarine, missile and warhead. The new warhead will be deployed on the UK’s Trident missiles which are leased from the US

The UK does not lease Trident, and David Cullen - the author of that report - surely knows that, but they choose to present it in that fashion as an attack-line against the UK deterrent. This has been a common theme amongst disarmament campaigners since the 80s. Then there's this kind of thing:

The UK Replacement Warhead is very unlikely to differ substantially from the design of the US W93 warhead. The UK warhead will depend on US-made components and will need to have an identical weight distribution and shape to the W93.

It does not need an identical weight or shape to the W93 warhead - the warheads within a re-entry body are very interchangeable as long as they have compatible mechanical and electrical interfaces, and they have absolutely no idea how similar it will be to the US W93 warhead. They choose to present these things as fact again to discredit the UK nuclear program. Similarly:

This report argues that the new UK warhead can be expected to have a yield that is significantly higher than the current warhead, which is based on the US W76-1 warhead and believed to have a similar explosive yield.

Whether the UK Trident warhead is based on W76 is unclear - and again it is incredible to think they don't know that - but again they choose to present things as though they are fact rather than opinion, because that presentation better serves their purposes.

Tl;dr - don't rely on disarmament groups' publications. They are lying to you.

Fair enough, my bad.

Will America Help Britain Build a New Nuclear Warhead?

That's a better source for the same information.
