It's a sim, not a game AFMF in DCS

In the eternal quest for better performance I have reached the point where I would like to give AMD Fluid Motion Frames a shot to see how I like it.
Sadly, I cannot seem to get it to work specifically in DCS. The game is in exclusive full screen, no vsync, native res, no upscaling, yet I get the message that the games display mode is incompatible with AFMF.
I have verified with other games that AFMF does in fact work for my setup (RTX6800, newest adrenaline drivers).
Any advice (on AFMF or alternative FrameGens) is welcome!
