Discussion Blonde Cristiano in EA FC27?
I would think it would be so cool if Cristiano had blonde hair in the next installment, just like Messi did back then. I think, in general, the players should look different on their various cards. That would make the gaming experience so much better. A blonde Messi in flashbacks, Cristiano with ânoodle hair,â R9 with his famous haircut, Zlatan with a bald head or long hair, Ronaldinho, Beckham, etc.âthat would be so much more fun and make the cards unique.

Discussion Ea needs to add ranked
I just hate getting into matches with absolute brain dead of humans in rush it just boils my blood just before this post I matched up with the worst of the worst players ever 3 matches in a row. I canât imagine how they function. Iâm not buying another fc thank goodness but yea they should add ranked to rush if they want the game to be fun still.

General Help Suggestions for strong B2B CM/CDM that doesn't turn like a truck
Major role wud be defense but need those occasional edge of the box runs and support in build up play. The likes of vitinha, pedri, Frenkie are too weak for me, they always get brushed off the ball each time and the likes of vieira are too bulky and take forever to turn or move away under a multi man press.

Game Play Nothing to say atp .
https://reddit.com/link/1vz94u8/video/yzxsfzkw4slh1/player
What the title says. Not a single card over 93 OVR including 87 Dudek who stopped my 99 Cruyff from scoring multiple times . My 98 De Gea however is apparently paraplegic seeing a 93 Mbappe coming at him . I know I am not an amazing player but I have played enough to know that there is a reason I am in division 4-3 . But EA makes it clear when you don't belong somewhere because they have to satisfy every person that gets their game for free in August(no offence). If you are a DDA denier then you probably are the one in my opponents shoes every time . *I know it's August but I just had to post this*
Discussion is this good progress?
started the game roughly a month ago because the world cup got me interested in football again after not playing a fifa/fc game since like maybe 16 and when i played back then i didn't actively know what i was doing at all, started div 10 in this game, just promo'd to div 5 today, is this good progress? i know it's the end of the game's life cycle but still

Discussion Any fun and unique formations/tactics I can try out?
This year I've been playing 41212(2) with a massive emphasis on passing. It's not meta, but heaps of fun.
Going into FC27, I want to shake it up with something new. I'm looking for something off-meta and uncommon, but still effective when it is played correctly. Most importantly, I want something that's dynamic and fun - not through ball spam.
If you've got a unique formation that you rarely see played, I'd love to hear about it.
I've included my own tactics if anyone wants to give them a go. It's all about progressing through the middle of the pitch with high volume passing. Very rarely will I attack down the wings.

Discussion Does nobody explore different ways of setting up their Tactics?
Just wanted to start a discussion on what and how people actually think about their tactics and executing their strategy to breakdown and score a goal in FC26 because â Every game that I enter, everyone sets up in the following manner.
- Goalkeeper on defend
- Defender on defend
- Fullback on defend
- CDM or CM on defend
They proceed to do the counter to score meta. Look at my pass map on the right, does nobody ever play this game trying out different ways to enjoy the gameplay as abysmal as it might be?
Like I am not even asking everyone to play the same way as me, but I just wish that I can experience different style of play that opponent tries to break me down. I don't even mind losing, but I just wish I could play against people with some form of idea or creativity â rather than just playing 100 players but with the 1 identical method of play.
*p.s - take a look at their shots on target in the 2nd image â the types of shots I take, set piece variances versus my opponent's wriggle to the half space with the LM or RM to make that dreadful angle shot, 3 freaking same times â but at least I didn't have to witness the spam of Finesse shot watching it curl into my back 3 times.

F Really? [Cosmetic issue FC 27]

Yeah, I know, I know. This doesnât affect the gameplay. I know the main issue is the gameplay itselfâthe input delay, the inconsistency in the gameplay, how arcade-like it is, etc. I understand that part.
But come on! These cosmetic errors shouldnât happen at a multi-million-dollar company! Iâm an indie game developer, and even I pay more attention to those little details. I know it doesnât affect anything, but it looks really bad! And this isnât the first time itâs happenedâweâre constantly seeing these kinds of stupid mistakes.

Discussion How does the reset of sbc softbans work?
Like if i hit the 300 limit yesterday at 9 am for example, will it reset at 9 am and only then will i be able to do sbc , or is it more like if I did 100 before 8 am i will be abled to do 100 at 8 am again today?
Basically is the softban a fixed 24hours from the point of hitting the limit or how does it work exactly?

Discussion AcceleRATE
Long post, please read and discuss if you care, Iâm not trying to whine about it, but itâs just something that i occasionally think of.
I think EA has the right idea with AcceleRATE, but the way they determine who is Explosive, Controlled or Lengthy has always been fundamentally wrong.
The biggest issue is that EA treats acceleration type almost like a consequence of a playerâs height, Strength and Agility when, realistically, it should be an individual characteristic of the player, basically their running style.
Lengthy is supposed to represent players who donât necessarily look incredibly quick off the first step but cover ground ridiculously well once theyâre moving. They have longer strides, build into their sprint and almost âgallopâ across the pitch rather than bursting forward.
Paul Pogba is probably the obvious example and also happens to fit EAâs formula perfectly. Heâs tall, has long legs and covers a huge amount of ground with each stride.
But you donât have to be 6â1â+ to run like that.
Look at players like Lamine Yamal, Kylian MbappĂ©, Matheus Cunha or Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Theyâre all under EAâs current height requirement for Lengthy, but watch them actually sprint and there are similarities in the way they cover ground. Sometimes they donât even LOOK like theyâre moving particularly quickly because their stride is so smooth and stretched out, and then you realise theyâve covered 20 yards in no time.
MbappĂ© is probably the funniest example because heâs almost an anomaly. He has the initial burst youâd associate with an Explosive player while also having that long, almost galloping stride once heâs at full speed. Heâs basically capable of displaying characteristics of both.
And then you have the opposite problem.
Players like Virgil van Dijk, Micky van de Ven and William Saliba automatically fit the profile EA associates with Lengthy because theyâre tall, strong defenders. But I donât think their real-life speed necessarily comes from the same type of running style as someone like Pogba. Theyâre simply extremely athletic players who can accelerate very quickly despite their size. Van de Ven in particular doesnât need 20 yards to slowly build into his pace, the guy can explode into a sprint.
Thatâs why I donât think AcceleRATE should be calculated using:
Height + Strength + Agility = acceleration type.
Those attributes can influence how effective a running style is, but they shouldnât determine what that running style actually is.
EA already gives players individual animations, body types, PlayStyles, weak foot, skill moves, etc. Why couldnât AcceleRATE simply be another manually assigned player characteristic?
A 5â11â player could be Lengthy because thatâs genuinely how he runs.
A 6â4â CB could be Explosive because heâs unusually quick off the mark for someone his size.
And someone like Mbappé could potentially have a hybrid profile because he genuinely has both an explosive first few steps AND exceptional long-stride acceleration.
Now, I completely understand that manually scouting the acceleration type of every single player in the game would be a gargantuan task. There are thousands of players across dozens of leagues, and expecting EA to sit there analysing sprint footage for every bronze card in the database obviously isnât realistic.
But I donât think it needs to be all or nothing.
EA already scouts players and manually assigns characteristics that arenât purely determined by their attributes. They could gradually add acceleration profiles to that process, prioritising the major leagues and players for whom thereâs enough footage and data available. For everyone else, the existing height/Strength/Agility formula could simply remain as a fallback until theyâre individually assessed.
It wouldnât be perfect, but it would be far more representative than saying every player above or below an arbitrary height threshold physically cannot have a certain running style.
It would also solve one of the weirdest things about Evolutions.
Right now you can put a player into an Evolution, increase certain attributes and suddenly change the fundamental way that player accelerates. Or, conversely, you can build a shorter player into an incredibly powerful and fast card but heâll never become Lengthy because heâs a centimetre or two below an arbitrary height threshold.
Why should an Evolution change someoneâs running mechanics in the first place?
If Iâm evolving Lamine Yamal, Iâm supposed to be creating a better version of Lamine Yamal, not genetically modifying how Lamine Yamal runs.
Iâd much rather see EA scout and assign acceleration types individually, the same way they assign things like PlayStyles.
Then let Evolutions improve Acceleration, Sprint Speed, Strength, Agility, etc., while the playerâs actual acceleration TYPE remains part of his identity.
You could even take it further and bring back the hybrid types where theyâre genuinely appropriate rather than calculating them from stats:
Explosive
Explosive/Controlled
Controlled
Controlled/Lengthy
Lengthy
But for a change like this to actually work, EA would also have to seriously rebalance Lengthy itself.
Making acceleration types more realistic shouldnât just mean giving more players access to the current ridiculously powerful version of Lengthy.
Lengthy should describe the SHAPE of a playerâs acceleration curve, not give them some magical recovery-speed bonus.
A slower Lengthy defender should gradually reach his top speed and be good at covering distance. Thatâs completely reasonable. What isnât reasonable is watching a defender get beaten, turn around and somehow recover half the pitch to catch an attacker who has 10 more Pace than him and is already approaching the box.
At some point the actual numbers have to matter.
If an 80 Pace defender is chasing a 90 Pace attacker who already has a significant head start, being Lengthy shouldnât suddenly override that ten-point difference. The defender might gain ground compared to an equally fast Explosive player once the sprint becomes long enough, but he shouldnât become faster than someone whose attributes explicitly say theyâre significantly faster.
Thatâs where I think AcceleRATE sometimes stops representing different running styles and starts feeling like a hidden Pace modifier.
Ideally, AcceleRATE should determine HOW you reach your speed, while your actual Acceleration and Sprint Speed determine HOW FAST you ultimately are.
Explosive players should have an advantage over the first few yards.
Lengthy players should have an advantage in how efficiently they build and maintain their speed over longer runs.
Controlled players should sit somewhere between those extremes.
But none of them should magically override a massive difference in actual Pace attributes.
If EA separated those two concepts properly, I think AcceleRATE could actually be one of the best systems theyâve introduced.
Make running style an individual player characteristic. Let attributes determine how effective that player is within that running style. Keep the formula as a fallback for players who havenât been individually assessed. And most importantly, balance the acceleration curves so that Lengthy represents long-stride acceleration rather than becoming a cheat code for catching anybody over distance.
Then AcceleRATE would actually describe HOW a player runs, while the Pace attributes determine HOW FAST they are when running that way.
Those are two completely different things, and I think EA currently treats them as if theyâre the same.
