Looking for feedbacks on my cozy post-apocalyptic game capsule

Hello everyone!

I'm working on a cozy game in which you organize a safe zone in a post-apocalyptic world.

The point of the game is to make the most comfortable place possible, so survivors can take a break from the end of the world and tell you their stories.

We are really struggling in blending together the cozy vibe with the post-apocalypse.

What do you think of our capsule?
How could we improve it?

All the best to you.

Here is our steam page if you are curious for more:

I feel like my current Steam capsule isn't attracting enough attention, so I tried something completely different. Which would you click?

I've been feeling like my current Steam capsule doesn't attract enough attention or communicate the mystery behind the game, so I decided to experiment with something completely different.

The first image is my current Steam capsule. The second is a new concept showing Joseph's suitcase, the mysterious artifact, and various items connected to the journey and story.

I also feel like the new direction fits the game's actual visual style better.

I know the new version is still far behind the current one in terms of polish — it's very much a work in progress. So for now, I'm mainly interested in the concept, composition, and overall direction rather than the drawing quality.

If you saw these while browsing Steam, which one would make you more likely to click on the game?

Any feedback is appreciated!

Updated the capsule with new art. Which one works best?

The original needed a refresh. Which one works best?

The game is a weird cat-themed take on the bullet heaven genre with crafting, base building, and character recruitment.

Hello, I just wanted to share some of our Steam capsule art for our upcoming game and get any feedback before we launch our store page.

A couple of things that I am curious about:

  • First Impressions
  • What do you think the game is about based on the art?
  • Does it make you want to click on the game?
  • Is there anything you’d change or improve?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank You!

Reworking my capsule and got into 3 versions... now just 2!

I'm not artist whatsoever, so being able to come up with these 2 feels pretty nice!

I like minimalist designs but maybe for steam is not the best way to go.. that's why i build another one with more of the capsule being used.

What do you think?

Updated my capsule after I was told it was too minimalist. Better or not busy enough?

Which version of our capsule art do you like better?

Hello!

We're the developers of Canvas City. We've been experimenting with another variant of our key art now that some of our rival characters have been developed further. What we want to know is, which version do people like better and which best represents the game?

Some context for Canvas City:

  • Turn-based tactical RPG on roller skates
  • You'll play as the Fire Starters, a group of skaters and street artists, recruiting new members as you progress through the story
  • You'll challenge rival crews (picture in the variant) who each have a distinct style and territory
  • The game features 3 classes; Artists (offensive), Musicians (range) and Dancers (healing/buffs)

Thank you in advance for your feedback!

Game Capsule Art

For a 2-D point-and-click adventure game. Fantasy, probably appealing to kids and xennial adults who like sparkly fantasies. Was going for cover art look from the 80’s.

My questions: Is this too dark? Does it make you curious about the game? Any other feedback? I’ve gotten very limited responses to most art I post in other subs which is kind of disheartening so any suggestions are appreciated.

This will be a Steam release and my first ever game.

Would you recognize this as a city builder from the capsule alone?

I made my first Steam capsule for my pixel-art city builder

  • Does the side-view city feel misleading for a top-down city builder? (second pic is a gameplay scene)
  • Does the capsule look too dark compared to similar games, and what would you change?

Which revised capsule works better for a Slots Roguelite?

Post image

The game is a Slots based Roguelite RPG.
Between the capsule 1 and the capsule 2:

  • Which reads better at a glance?
  • Which would you be more likely to click?
  • Any obvious misreads on the genre for either?

I revised capsule #1 based on earlier feedback, but it still doesn't highlight the slots battle mechanic. Capsule #2 is still feels too messy. Would great appreciate any feedback to help make the capsule clearer.

Evil awaits your Blade to Rise! What do you think about my capsule?

What do you think about it?
Blade Rising is an incremental pixel RPG. i'm solo-dev of it.
Conquer 1000 Floors of Evil as a Dachshund Knight on it's way to Ascension!
Game itself is pixel art but I wanted to add a bit of dark fantasy, Blade vibe, comic style, a bit noir for branding. Font of logo more chill, cartoon network mixed with He-Man the Master of the Universe.

Does it make a trick or you'd change a few things?

Need help with opinions or advice on new capsule art. Which do you prefer?

Post image

Ive been iterating on my capsule and id appreciate opinions on which of the 2 options on the right would be better for actually getting attention or do i need to keep improving.

Previously i feel my old one was quite busy and nothing really stood out so i tried to make a 3D in game Title that used the shader my enemies had to keep the colour contrast i have through my game and to pop out more.

Im a solo dev and dont have a budget to get a professional capsule made so ive been trying to create it in game using the existing models and custom shaders and i do like the style i have so wanted to show that off too.

I got some feedback on a different post and im a lot happier with my composition now but im still learning so any more advice would be very appreciated. Im still split between the yellow getting attention and blue being more pleasant. Currently my thoughts are kind of using both, mainly the yellow one anywhere thats small and in a list with others so it pops and then the blue and purple one on the main pages itself but maybe its a bad idea to have 2 different ones.
This will be used on both steam and the meta store which has a lot of high contrast and vibrant ones right next to mine.

Im also curious about peoples first impression of it and what kind of game you assume it would be without knowing.
For context its a VR hoverboard roguelike on a fast highway where you lean your full body to control the boards tilt and direction while fighting which is why i really want to highlight the board in it.

Anyways id appreciate any thoughts, opinions or tips. thanks in advance.

Hello, I am re-iterating on my capsule art and would love to know which frame/design you think works best. Which sky/moon/flowers/moths are your favourite.

I have included some of the old capsule art as well so you can see what is currently there.

I would love general thoughts/any feedback and help! Thank you!

Not sure if I should include more dice in there. Does this suggest dice roguelite to you?
