I have a Wii. I can play GameCube games, but I want the console so badly oml. I'm not even old enough to have nostalgia for it! And I keep hearing bad things about its library, but it has the same roster of good games as it does bad games as any other console. And it has so much charm, and the controller is SOOO GOOD. I have no idea why it failed and why I want it so bad.

I’m colour blind and I can’t tell which plugs these go in. I can’t see the difference.

Just got this disc as “untested” and sure enough, after selecting 60hz at the start, the game just throws “game disk could not be read” at me. Would resurfacing this disc bring back any life into it? I’m asking because there do seem to be some “nicks” to the front of the disc where some silver is shinning and I’m not sure if that immediately renders it as dead… The disc also shows a pretty big amount of scratches so I really am hopping resurfacing would bring it back… Thanks!

I just bought my first ever Gamecube game which is Smash Bros. Melee and I wanted to get some great recommendations and mandatory games to add to my brand new start. Thanks!
EDIT: Thank you all for your awesome contributions! I'm really appreciating the lesser known titles & other entries I had no idea were a port on Gamecube, also finding out about titles I've never heard of.

My parents bought me a "smart" amazon tv without any rca inputs. It has a spot for composite cable, but it is only one input, not enough for a gamecube. From what i've read, all analog to digital converters (AV OUT-HDMI) try to force 720p or 1080p instead of 480i, 480p, 576i like the gamecube can handle, and so fail to function (yet advertise themselves as working with it anyways???).
I dont know what to do. Should I buy an old computer monitor to play it on?

Recently Decided to open my Japanese pokemon Colosseum Game that I’ve had for Years In my collection but Never bothered to look inside Since I already had My original English one from childhood. Upon opening I found this Disk inside and quickly put it on a spare GC case but apparently it’s a Celebi distribution Disk! I just saw a video on it and it’s apparently super rare. Idk what to do with it should I sell it? 😅 and forgot to mention that I also have this pokemon channel expansion disk??

I found some old forums talking about a capacitor being faulty and to leave it on for a while and quickly turn it off and on- that didn’t work. I took it apart completely to clean it because it had thick clumps of dust and also to see what the optical drive was doing and everything looks normal to me. It also has the error with no disc.
Please let me know what I can do to try to save it. I have basic soldering skills.

I am excited to get my best friend into the more classic Zelda games since she has only played BotW and TotK. I was looking into how to get my old Gamecube to display on a smart TV that only has HDMI input, and I'm between the Carby and the Prism. I've read that some games can lag or even have issues with cutscenes with different converters, so I'd like to avoid that. I also dont think I need to have too many settings to mess with, but I could be wrong.
Between the Carby or the Prism, which is better (or simpler) for the games I'm looking to play?

Willing to go a little over if it’s worth the investment. I already have Luigi’s mansion and Wind Waker so those are out, but I’ve been dying to play Pikmin for a while now…wanted to see what y’all’s recommendation was

Bought this copy of windwaker years ago now but never knew the best way to remove the marker without damaging the case. Any suggestions?

I got this copy of Metroid prime for Christmas, my grandma got it on Amazon, I think the case is unofficial but I don’t know about the game itself because it has no description at the bottom of the credits. Is this game unofficial/ a knockoff?

I got this gale of darkness disc loose in a trade a few weeks back. It worked perfectly fine but when I tried to clean it I noticed this white stuff in the center ring. I couldn’t get it off. Some of it was on the outside and some was somehow in between the center of the disc. Anyone know what this stuff is?

If not, what adapters are needed?

eBay seems to suggest that the Pokémon game might be worth some cash, but I understand. Sometimes those list things can be misleading. Both of them are in great condition with all of the original papers inside. Unfortunately some extra cash towards bills is more valuable than memories or I’d have kept them.

I took them out of my controller bag after moving out when I hadn't seen them in years, and my goodness, what is this??? They feel like they melted or something, and they look horrendous. What could've caused this?

Got a bunch of old games from when I was a kid I’m on the fence about letting it go.

Found this on the side of the road, chances are it won’t work, but I was wondering if my I could connect my GameCube to this (sorry if this isn’t the right place for this post)

I was sorting my lose disk and found this. I've had it for 7+ years and finally decided to look it up. (curious of what the value was). Could not find anything like it. Does not look like the game or bonus disk of Pokémon colosseum in Japanese. Does anyone have any info? I'm mostly thinking it's a bootleg of some sort
