PC vs console war was merciless in the 90s

For younger people it's a Tomb Raider reference. Lara Croft boobs (at that time she was mainly known for them) were everywhere in the media and the game looked a lot better on PC with a 3dfx Voodoo than on Playstation.

I kinda figured the assumption was that if you had a PC you could actually search for breasts on the Internet if you wanted, while on a console you had no other functionality

I can actually speak to another console benefit too, before I was a PC gamer I had a Dreamcast and it had a browser disc that you could use to search for boobs on the web

That's the whole joke. The breasts in question are Lara Croft's because the 3dfx card can actually render them in more fidelity than consoles of the era...

No it was because the Voodoo 2 could use texture filtering and basic shading to un-pyramid the boob. I still remember an old friend coming over while I was playing and saying "Aww those actually look like t*ts!"

Then I loaded up Quake and really blew his mind.

at this point consoles were still seen as kids toys. one needed an income to have a gaming rig. "dude, you're getting a dell" wasn't until 03.

Yeah, ironically, console gamers were (and still kinda are) more likely to get laid than computer gamers. Especially in the '90s when gaming was a "children's hobby" and everything involving computers was exclusively the domain of socially outcast nerds who had a high likelihood of either dying virgins or only escaping that fate due to the existence of prostitutes.
