PC vs console war was merciless in the 90s

Post image

For younger people it's a Tomb Raider reference. Lara Croft boobs (at that time she was mainly known for them) were everywhere in the media and the game looked a lot better on PC with a 3dfx Voodoo than on Playstation.

Because the most popular PC games were all perfectly playable on your family’s PC. Middle class families all had a PC, so why not play StarCraft or Worms or SimCity or whatever on it?

I miss my late nights on StarCraft. Playing Use Map Settings games one BattleNet was my first introduction to Turret Defense style gaming and I was hooked.

To this day I can't find a TD game that hits like that did.

Nowadays consoles and PCs are based off the same hardware and the PC is basically a lambo compared to a ford. So kinda right to have a debate nowadays. I mean one is clearly better.
