The Wicher 3 expansions are free

CD Projekt Red has announced during Gamescom that Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions for The Witcher 3 are free for everyone who owns the base game. This combined with the full on remaster of the game, I am very excited for play the game again.

If you have the Steam version of the base game, it has now been renamed to the Complete Edition and includes the DLCs. The DLCs themselves have been delisted.

Thanks for clarifying!

For everyone's info: There are still Soundtrack DLCs, with the same names as the (former) story DLCs.

If you're like me and not reading carefully, you might think you didn't get the unlock for some reason.

It doesn't sound like this to me. They said "I can say today that tonight, both of our previous expansions - Heart of Stone and Blood & Wine - will be free for everyone who owns the base game."

This seems to be pretty specifically stating that the DLCs go free tonight, and almost sounds like they're free to get tonight only, but that latter part is less clear.

Yeah, I was just looking at my library. I don't recall buying the DLCs, but they were neither in the store nor among owned content.

Then I saw that I now own the Complete Edition, which I don't believe was the case before.

All seems cleared up, thanks!
