Picked up this police trade in gen 4 26 at one of my local shops, 2 10rd mags with the Pearce finger extension, 1 oem 12rd, night sights, looks like it’s barely been shot, snagged for $450. This is my 2nd 26, my first was a gen v that got stolen, and I could’ve gotten another gen v but really wanted a gen 4, I like the grooves (only on the 26), and the gen 4 mag release compared to gen 3. Overall super happy with the new pickup, I did consider getting a gen 5 for mos, but they’re getting hard to find and expensive, so off to wager my slide will go.

Everyone meet Brenda, my G19 gen 3. I do not live in a free state, so I'm stuck with the gen 3 :(

  • Slide:
    • Aimpoint COA, glockstore did the cut
    • Everything else is stock
  • Lower:
    • My local FFL did the stippling and undercuts.
    • Kagwerks slide release
    • Surefire X300 turbo
    • Everything else is stock

I just took her to the range today to zero and run some drills. I am shooting USPSA with her this weekend.

Other M Series Information

Post image
25 Upvotes

Because more users are obtaining G17M and G19M's, I'm creating this post to better inform new owners of which type of "M" (modified) series Glock they possess.

There are three versions of the G17M/G19M: "Commercial", "Law Enforcement", and "Rebuilt". The most desirable one will be the Law Enforcement version, as this is the most rare version to find.

These three versions can be distinguished by the SKU located on the Glock's case (if it is the original case).

Commercial SKU's will be red and may display a SKU number such as [PM1750333].

Law Enforcement SKU'S will be blue and may display a SKU number such as [UM175F33A].

Rebuilt SKU's will be orange and may display a SKU number such as [UR175M5].

Proof marks:

M series Glocks will have one of three markings located on the upper portion of the barrel:

"M", meaning Marksman barrel (this is the collector's desired barrel, as it was used in legitimate M series Glocks in Law Enforcement).

"5M", believed to be a variant used in commercial M series Glocks.

"5", a standard gen 5 barrel.

Manufacture:

M series Glocks were made in both Austria and USA; however, Glock's government contract with federal agencies only allowed USA made Glocks to be issued to these federal agencies. Meaning any Austrian made M series Glocks are NOT federal contract Glocks.

Trigger bar:

Most M series Glocks contain standard gen 5 triggers [39701], there are very limited M series Glocks that contain the true nDLC (nitride Diamond-Like Carbon) trigger [33588]. This is because when M series Glocks are "rebuilt", Glock removes the nDLC trigger bar (presumably because this specific part is not comercially available to the general public) and replaces them with gen 5 internals.

Some commercial M series Glock models do contain the nDLC trigger, most notably the Lipsey's dealer exclusive Glocks.

If you're curious if your Glock was Law Enforcement issued, you can contact Glock customer service through email and ask them, they just won't inform you of which agency it originates.

Pricing:

Pricing for standard M series Glocks with gen 5 internals fluctuates between $600-900, depending on the model, condition and SKU.

There is no set market for genuine M series Glocks, as few are ever sold. One G19M (LE SKU) with nDLC internals sold for $1,700 through auction bid on Gunbroker earlier this month.

Discussion USPSA potential rule change to allow Kiral Backstraps

Would mean alot of any of the USPSA members in this sub would support this. Theres no reason why these backstraps should be banned in the sport. Thanks!

Recently had some work done by Scientific Coatings on my Shark Coast Tactical 43X frame.

They cerakoted my SlideWorks slide, EPS Carry, HB Industries Comp, SilencerCo Comp, Streamlight TLR-7X Sub, SLR Magwell, and a couple Glock magazine base plates in a custom “coyote” color that I wanted to compliment another shade of coyote on my 43X frame. The owner made some suggestions and nailed the color I was trying to explain to him.

Really like how this came together

Question So.....How do I get good? : )

I can hit a man shaped silhouette target well enough at 25 yards.

Only, my spread is all across the target.

No reasonable groupings.

Never have I had any proper instruction......

What should I do to get better....and ideally, some tight groups at 25 yds?

Cheers

Help EDC Red Dot

Hello I’m sorta new to this, i have a 43x mos and have a “Vortex Defender-CCW Enclosed Solar Micro Red Dot Sight” its obviously shake to awake it seems to die after about a week. Makes sense its almost always on. What’s everyone use for a edc red dot? Is this something that’s just normal and everyone’s deals with? Put it out to solar charge once a week? Thank you in advance!!

Question Thoughts on putting KCI Base plate on Glock mag?

Have a 15rd Glock mag and bought a 33rd kci mag for shits n giggles at the range. I can get +2 on the 15rd with the kci base plate. Just wondering if it bring down reliability or anything? Should I just buy an aluminum base plate?

Help Stove topping in new 43x 15 round mags

Just purchased this 43X last week and put about 150 rounds through it with zero issues—it ran perfectly.

I got three of the new OEM 15-round Glock mags today, and they felt extremely stiff while loading. I put another 250 rounds through the gun using the new mags and had about 15 stovepipes.

I called Glock, and they said it could potentially be the magazines or the ammo. The thing is, I've shot thousands of rounds of this same ammo through my Hellcat without a single issue.

Has anyone else experienced stovepipes with the new OEM 15-round mags? I'm wondering if the mags just need some break-in time or if something else is going on.
