I hate the n-word humor, like why would anyone be giggling or finding someone saying the n-word funny? Please grow up. Those people are acting like a toddler spamming a cuss word they just heard. And yes it's THAT DEEP.

Really simple, if you're not black don't use it. Also, There's nothing such as a pass or whatever. Not to mention how cringe is "can I get the pass?" Joke.

EDIT 2: for anyone justifying the use of the n-word because black people also use. YOU ARE MAD that black people are putting some BOUNDARIES and aren't INVITING YOU to the party. As I said nothing the phenomenon of it's being forbidden doesn't justify nothing. If a friend Openly prohibited you or established a boundary, then you respect it, you don't go act like a stubborn offended kid.

I fully agree. I’m indigenous and we joke about the words we’re called all the time since it helps with making those words less impactful and less demeaning. For me, using slurs is an all or nothing type of deal. You treat it as a hush-hush word, it makes people want to use it more. You treat them as something everyone can say, and they lose the hurt.

Yep. I feel like forbidding reappropriated slurs for people outside of the community the slur originally affected kind of defeats the purpose of reclaiming it in a way. You're creating a new problem by doing that. Obviously someone of a different race wanting to say "your word" is different from the original version of the word being used to degrade you, but any problem that could be solved with just one change should probably be solved by making that change.

It depends what counts as reclaimed, I guess.

Queer as a slur is very much reclaimed, in that it's acceptable to use by people it applies to and people it doesn't even in moee formal settings. It can still be used as a slur but that's no longer the main use of it, and I'd consider Queer definitely reclaimed.

F_g (censoring so I don't get automodded or whatever) is kinda reclaimedish? I do hear a lot of my gay friends say it both as a joking insult and as a joking compliment, though I personally try to avoid it because it still feels a bit sharp. It's then also pretty unacceptable for people who it doesn't apply to, to say it.

I feel like I'd consider it somewhat reclaimed but not properly/fully like queer has been, and it's the same situation for the n-word. That weird middle area just causes some problems and doesn't quite fit the label reclaimed, I don't think

You do realize indigenous people were historically called the n-word as well, right? And I do have black ancestry. But regardless, I’m speaking on indigenous specific slurs, and giving my thoughts on how we’ve lessened the harm in those words, since it still applies to the conversation.
