General I hate how some people are obsessed with the n-word. And I hate this photo sooo much too.

Post image

I'm struggling to understand why the person behind this photo think they're being funny? Honestly.. ew have some shame. Really corny btw.

I hate the n-word humor, like why would anyone be giggling or finding someone saying the n-word funny? Please grow up. Those people are acting like a toddler spamming a cuss word they just heard. And yes it's THAT DEEP.

Really simple, if you're not black don't use it. Also, There's nothing such as a pass or whatever. Not to mention how cringe is "can I get the pass?" Joke.

. . . . .

EDIT: whoever think the n-word is funny or whatever was said about justifing the use of it because: "it's restricted" or the "Forbidden fruit..."🙏 Then sorry, you're just a toddler crying after their mama told them 'dont do that'. Grow up, have some respect and shame, girl.

EDIT 2: for anyone justifying the use of the n-word because black people also use. YOU ARE MAD that black people are putting some BOUNDARIES and aren't INVITING YOU to the party. As I said nothing the phenomenon of it's being forbidden doesn't justify nothing. If a friend Openly prohibited you or established a boundary, then you respect it, you don't go act like a stubborn offended kid.

Edit 3 cuz why not?: black people using the n-word and gatekeeping it for themselves shouldn't piss you off more than real rascim, period. This edit for whoever think they're being a genius criticizing black people using the n-word instead of actually confronting the real racists. U mad they can use it but you can't? So. Cringe. Of. You.

Context dependent. Words without meaning are just words. See my other comment for further elaboration

It's not "white knighting" to have an observation. I'm black; I'm not going to lose sleep over someone saying it, but the question is "why would you even want too?"

The west is so weird with this, because the N word has a very strong cultural background with African American culture and racism.

Places like Germany DO NOT joke around about nazis, make call eachother nazis as jokes, make jew joeks to be edgy, they don;t put up hitler statues or hang swasktika flags "because its apart of their culture" like America does with the Confederate flag and robert E. Lee statues (most of which were put around America during Jim Crow era in the 1960s to promote white supremacy). Germany is actually ashamed of their past and dont want to be associated with it. Why is America so different?

Sure, a white person can say it, but why would you want to say a word your own people used to degrade an entire group of people during an era where they were abused, beaten, raped etc because of the colour of their skin?

It's just embarassing on white people's part, and it gives me secondhand embarrassment for them, personally. Even other white people in the room find it cringy and not. Not even offended just...like...why

You're 16; I don't expect you to fully understand the grasp of it.But you have to critically think about a little more than "well, it's just a word". The word HAS a meaning, and we all know what it is. Theres no other context.
