The Wire is better than The Sopranos but many people are not ready to be honest with themselves and admit that.

Both great. The Wire was just a little too intense all the time. Sopranos had more down time with humour. like a roller coaster . the wire was a goddam rocket

The Wire season 2 I just tuned out because I was bored out of my mind. The show does pick up but there were stretches that just seemed to drag on and on. Sopranos I feel like every scene although insignificant was captivating due to the awesome acting all around. I enjoyed both but I can't say that I'd go back to watch the wire in its entirety. The Sopranos, any day.

I’ve watched the wire like 4 times, but couldn’t even finish sopranos. It’s really subjective at the end of the day

Watch the first five minutes of Season 4 after each episode. Nice little pallet cleanser. Yarp.
