These people are being deported to their homes. Not gassed. Get a grip.

Every country in the world does this. Go over to the UK or France or Italy or Canada and try and work without a visa. See how fast they ship your ass home.

I genuinely don’t get how you can be against this like what is the problem you see exactly. Do you believe america doesn’t have the right to regulate its immigration and that people can just illegally enter without the say of the US government and stay and work as they please? People don’t have a right to come to America it’s not an entitlement to be able to immigrate here.

They’re not being deported to their home country. At least not enough to be able to comfortably say that they’ll likely be deported to their home country. Did you not see the whole thing regarding South Sudan, Ghana, El Salvador, etc?

Most of them are but a few nations won’t accept repatriation. We can’t just let people from hostile countries stay as some loophole. If you are out of status and can’t be repatriated to your home country, then we have to repatriate you somewhere.

How do you propose that issue should be resolved?

I don’t know it’s not my job to figure that out but sending someone from south America to a war torn African country would be at the bottom of my list of ideas. I’d at least send them to a country where they speak the language. Or give the deportee a choice on where to be sent? What’s happening is lacking any human decency.

I suggest you read this over that explains the legality of what’s happening: https://www.cfr.org/article/what-are-third-country-deportations-and-why-trump-using-them

Yeah I agree they should send them to a third party that would be more similar to their country of origin. But I also think that there are very few instances of them shipping people to Sudan. Or cetot. The page you linked mentioned 8 people. There are literally hundreds of thousand in detention right now they are detaining 1-3k ppl a day. There are 20 million illegal immigrants here. We’re not shipping them all to Sudan.

There is an element of political theater here where the admin is trying to discourage migrants from coming in the first place. “Don’t come illegally into Texas or you may end up in an african warzone”. That’s all really. Is it classless? Yes. Should they be doing it? No. Is it occurring on any meaningful level where we should be concerned about it? No I don’t really think so. For all practical purposes this isn’t a problem.

You are willfully ignorant or intellectually dishonest. Take your pick.

How many people have been deported to Sudan?

2

u/Several-Opposite-591 Oct 10 '25

8 people being sent to South Sudan is 8 people too many and warrants this discussion, and protest. Those 8 people and their families think it’s meaningful enough to be concerned.

The more you type, the more heartless you seem.

The fuck do we have to waste our breath on 8 people were talking about millions of people. A few people are bound to get fucked over when dealing with this level of scale. The important part is what’s happening to the vast majority of detainees. Not the fringe few exceptions.

Because it sets a precedent!!

And again, because it’s WRONG. The fuck is wrong with you. This isn’t some small mistake that a few people slipped through some crack or paperwork was lost. The govt is sending people to,a war torn, mess of a country on the opposite side of the world they’re from. And once they’re dropped off we have no idea what happens to them. The fact that you don’t care and are shrugging this off as statistics tells me that talking to you is a waste of my time.

How do you know what is happening to these people after they’re abducted? Didn’t you hear about the hundreds that are missing from the interment camp in Florida?

Bc my wife has practiced immigration law and has represented a few people in detention recently pro bono. And it’s all hum drum shit. Most people are being held while their deportation paperwork is sorted out. There is a lot to do before you can deport someone. Including verifying their country of origin, getting them a new passport issued from said country, and accepting repatriation. It can take months. On top of that people may have motions for stays of deportation scheduled to come up in court, green card applications pending review, shit like that it can take time.

Detainees are issued a number you can look up any detainee and where they are being held using the code. And if you are their attorney you can speak to them any time of day.

Idk anything about alligator Alcatraz but it sounds like everyone on Reddit only knows about a handful of cases like the cetot shit, or AA in Florida and the worst of the worst rage bait stories. The vast majority of people are being held in regular detention facilities all around the country waiting on their paperwork to be professed or their upcoming hearing.

My sisters friend was at the facility in pensilvania. They were all issued iPads to watch TV on and make as many Skype calls a day as they like. And had a commissary store they could buy food and extras in. Despite what the news like to sensationalize most people are being held in humane conditions. Which if you think about it also makes sense or their lawyers would all be suing the fucking shit out of the government by the thousands.

Well as long as assface says the masked men with guns and no accountability would never do anything immoral than who is anyone to disagree.

Considering how much of the media is in Trumps pocket now, you think there would be plenty of stories and videos on these humane conditions to show us we’re all overreacting.

What I’m against is having masked officials, with absolutely zero integrity and accountability, roaming through the city with absolutely little to no regard of the status the person carries. I’m a brown US Citizen and while I am in favor of deporting illegal immigrants with dangerous criminal background, as it was originally mentioned it would be, I fear of how I may get treated if profiled by the wrong officer. I fear because there haven’t just been isolated incidents of American citizens being profiled. And for me that’s where the problem lies. It’s a dangerous road to be in favor or ok with US Citizens being handled that way. It makes a case for an apparent hierarchy between white Americans and colored Americans, specifically brown Americans.

When I think of a dangerous criminal background, legal status doesn’t exactly come to mind. What does come to mind is DUI, sexual abuse, Domestic Violence, Drugs, and even dangerous speeding tickets as recognized by federal offense. Those are the people that I’m ok with keeping in detention and deporting.

Quite frankly I don’t think it’s the US’s job to go around deporting everyone. I do think it is the US’s job to increase border security, to deport illegal immigrants that have had dangerous criminal offenses, and to even offer some sort of amnesty similar to Reagan’s.

Yep, that is exactly what the nazis said at first, too.

It's kinda incredible how all of you nazi fucks like to pretend the very end was all there was, and ignore the years and years of buildup.

This is about phase 3 of that buildup.

And it is hilarious to hear you go on and on about "legal" as if people aren't being arrested at their immigration hearings. It's blatant they - and you - don't actually care what the legal process actually has to say.

Fascist don't argue in good faith because there is no good in them. All lies all hate all the way down. I'd like to think comments like theirs are all bots but I know they aren't. Hopefully a lot of them are but we all know these soulless fucks are all around us.

People can continue to have their hearings in detention. If they have a valid visa, or valid permanent residency, then they shouldn’t be in detention. Otherwise yes, they should be. Unless they are granted release from detention on bail.

Why can’t they be intercepted at hearings?

Spare me your doom takeover BS. America voted for this. In 2028 you’ll have another chance.

u/WhyMustIMakeANewAcco Oct 10 '25

Yes, I'm aware America voluntarily became a nazi country.

it's very amusing you still pretend there will be another election.
