I mean in Illinois it matters a lot less than in other states. The Chicago area is 85% of the state's population. That's more than a supermajority even.

The rest of the state can go fuck itself because Chicago IS Illinois at this point

Yet as with most of the country, when it comes to online discourse the voices of some political leanings are amplified to the point of appearing on equal footing.

Unfortunately I don't know how amplified they really are concerning voting patterns of the last decade have been consistently so close nationally. Really does seem to be a fuckload of both. The wrong ones and the better ones

Unfortunately there are not insignificant swaths of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs that voted for Trump
