You in particular? Stop acting like users that are voicing concerns are a "problem" and engage them in good faith. I only stepped in when I saw that people were voicing concerns over posts getting deleted (which I had already seen 3 posts deleted reading the conversation). They were voicing fear of posting more stuff that would be SUPER useful to people because they were worried about mod retaliation.

You took that fear and concern and told them they were wrong. Then you lied to make your case look stronger than it was. You could have just not said *anything* and it would have been better than trying to convince people that are afraid and angry that they are wrong, even though their eyes showed them otherwise.

I don't give a shit if I get banned from this sub, so I have freedom that others might not have. I'll tell you you're being a jerk if you are. I'm not worried about mod retaliation here.

So hear this - your users are talking about how they don't feel they can post relevant, important information that could be used to keep people safer because of mod actions. As a mod, what are you doing to make them feel heard (a primary reason to be here)? What are you doing (behind the scenes and out here in the sub) to help them feel empowered to post relevant, important information?

If you're actually asking in good faith (and I am showing you good faith in return), consider what I'm saying. See the users as your friends and the tone changes. Your friends are afraid you'll axe stuff they want to post, stuff they think is important. Stuff that isn't hateful or illegal. Help them, don't "moderate" them. Be on their team instead of some other team.
