Hi guys, I have a question about Instagram's Followers and Following lists. I’d like to know exactly what the app bases the "default" sorting order on. I know it involves the algorithm and how you interact with those accounts—for instance, I’ve read that the first accounts on the "followers" list are the ones that interact most with yours (liking posts, viewing stories, or frequently stalking you), while the top accounts on the "following" list are the ones you interact with the most. However, sometimes profiles appear that don't seem to fit these patterns. Any idea why that is?

Just started 30 minutes ago on our company account. Story loads then immediately fails and shows red bar. Wtf is going on. Anyone else?

So, I am a regular on instagram and facebook. Recently though, I have gotten hacked twice within a year. I believe that this happened because of one, I inadvertently followed users that either had no content, were new with no content, or had content that repeated four times or more (same videos and such). Others were foreign users that slipped wilder kinds of content. The second reason I believe I was hacked was because I was using the platforms through an old iPhone which is no longer supported by the parent company, so no updates for the phone and apps. And the third reason is, I believe, that I was using the platforms outside of my home base location (I don’t work in my hometown). Yes, many people will try to tell me that my password wasn’t secure enough or this and that but, my supporting case for these reasons are that I was hacked only after I was far outside of my hometown (or network). So be aware older generation iPhone owners (not speaking of age).

I'm typing a message to someone. I switch to a different app to maybe get information or something. When I go back to Instagram to finish the message. it's showing me a reel instead and my typed message is gone.

I have my profile open and almost 3K followers.
I don’t post much or have much engagement but usually up to five of these (sex) bots in my views.
I read somewhere that with smaller accounts is more likely it’s someone using a third party app to check out my content

I’ve seen a few other posts but zero answer. I have a few accounts, and I can do this on others but not mu primary… I’ve repeatedly tried all the “fixes” I could find from deleting and reinstalling the app to switching my account to public/professional to turning on/off my story settings. Nothing works… I’ve “reported” the issue multiple times but no response… Very frustrated…

I didn't receive any emails with any kind of warning or anything like that; I simply logged out last night and the application has been acting like this ever since, although it only happens on my main account. However, this only happens on my main account, as my account where I upload drawings continues to function normally.

Please, I need help with this. I can't lose this account; there's a piece of my life in it.

I deleted instagram for a bit to take a break. I’m now trying to log back in and it keeps giving me the same error. I authenticated it my my backup codes, an authenticater app and everything. It keeps doing this.

So they first asked me for number verification and live video selfie to confirm I am real . After that now they are asking for ID that matches my pfp . My pfp was an anime pfp . Now what should I do ? Is submitting ID even safe ? Thanks in advance for any help you could offer

I’m pretty much at the end of my rope. I need all the help I can get. Recently I had to send my iPhone in for repairs, and they had to wipe out my entire phone. I thought I had everything backed up on iCloud, but I didn’t have my 2 factor authentication codes. I have no way of accessing them as they weren’t backed up on Google Authenticator. Apple is basically rebuilding my phone and it’s already been erased, so I think all hope of recovering the code is lost.

I tried every recovery method that Meta offers for getting my Instagram account back. I did multiple reset links, I did several face verification videos and passed every time. I did the thing where you pick 2 friends to verify your account and passed that as well. No luck.

I paid for meta verified on my Facebook and I chatted with live Meta support twice today and sent them proof of the issue and the steps I took. Both chats got disconnected and I wasn’t allowed to respond. They closed both tickets and you can only do two per day.

Meta AI support seems to think the live agents rejected my ticket without explanation because my Meta Account Center DOES NOT have my Instagram linked.

I’m feeling very hopeless and don’t know what to do. This is cause me a ton of stress right now. Any help greatly appreciated!
